Those already registered to apply were advised to wait for the visa process to resume. The introduced measure is a consequence of the introduction of a state of emergency declared in the Czech Republic due to the pandemic of a new type of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) stated that Fr. ATOR notes that March is a period of active demand for tours to the Czech Republic. At this time, tourists usually book trips to the Czech Republic for March, April and May holidays.

According to the Czech Embassy in Moscow, from March 12, a state of emergency was introduced in the country for 30 days. The presence of people in public catering areas is prohibited from 20:00 to 6:00. From March 13, theatrical, musical and other artistic performances, film screenings, sports, cultural, religious, social, dance events, exhibitions, festivals, pilgrimages, shows, tastings, markets and fairs with the participation of more than 30 people at a time are also prohibited. From midnight on March 13, international train and bus services will be suspended: travel will only be possible by car or plane. At the same time, from March 14, the movement of cars across national borders with more than nine passengers and one driver is prohibited.

From midnight on Friday 13 March, controls will be resumed on the German and Austrian borders of the Czech Republic. Crossing the border is allowed only through 11 border points.

All persons not residing in the Czech Republic are required to monitor for symptoms of infectious diseases upon entry into the country.

The coronavirus outbreak in China began in December last year. Due to the threat of infection, Russia has also limited air traffic with South Korea, Italy, and Iran. On March 11, WHO declared a pandemic due to the continued spread of coronavirus in the world.
