Visit the Gosuslugi portal (gosuslugi.ru).

Procedure in case of ID theft

If your passport is stolen, where should you contact first? There is a certain sequence of actions that should be followed in the event of identity theft.

Visit to the police

The first thing that is recommended to do after discovering that your passport has been stolen is to contact the nearest police station. You should write a corresponding statement here. This will help avoid unpleasant consequences, in particular, reduce the time frame for the attacker so that he cannot use the stolen document for his own selfish purposes (applying for a bank loan, for example).

After document theft, it is important:

Do not panic;
Visit the nearest police station;
Write an application and pick up a ticket;
Visit the Federal Migration Service office at your place of residence;

If a citizen loses his passport, he may face some sanctions in the form of fines.

Article 19.16 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation establishes a fine for careless storage of a passport, which led to its loss (including theft). Is it possible to get a loan using a stolen passport?
