The main document of a citizen of the state - an identity passport - may be required in many situations. But we don’t always have the opportunity to personally present its original. This cannot be done due to distances, busyness, and other objective reasons. Quite often, citizens who rarely need the services of government agencies or rarely deal with them do not know that they can use a scan of their passport and do not need to be present in person. So, if necessary, instead of waiting in line just to hand over documents, namely a copy of your passport, you just need to send it by email.
So what is a passport scan? This is a digital file that was created using certain tools: a special device - a scanner and the driver for this device. This file contains an image of a citizen's passport and the necessary spreads of this document.
A scan of a passport serves as a full replacement for the original document if it is a genuine copy.

How to properly upload scanned copies to your Personal Account?
When the photos of the documents are taken, all that remains is to upload them to your Personal Account. For this:
- Go to the website;
- Log in to your “Personal Account” using your login and password;
- Go to the section: “My Documents”
- Next to the document name, click on the “Download” button;
- Select the required file and confirm the download.
Congratulations, the documents have been uploaded, all you have to do is wait for them to be approved (usually this happens within 5 - 10 minutes).
Once the documents are verified and approved, you will see an “Approved” status next to each uploaded photo. If you see “Upload” next to a file again, try taking a higher-quality photo and uploading it again.
