War Veteran - what is it and how is the status obtained?

How veneers differ from crowns and composite restorations

The veneer covers the front surface, side surfaces and cutting edge of the tooth. The main function of veneers is aesthetic, which is why they are placed mainly on the front teeth.

The crown covers all surfaces of the tooth. There is a fashionable trend - “360 veneers”, when the entire surface of the tooth is covered with metal-free ceramics. But this is a marketing ploy. In fact, “360 veneers” are already crowns.

Composite restoration is the restoration of the anatomical shape of a tooth using filling material. The main function of a composite restoration is to restore any damaged tooth. This is primarily dental treatment.

General practitioners rarely have the right to do both aesthetic restorations and work with indirect restorations (that is, install veneers) - unless it is work on implants. True, they usually don’t know how to do this.

To solve aesthetic problems when working with ceramic veneers, the doctor needs additional specialization - he must be an orthopedist. At the same time, the orthopedic doctor has the right to both work with veneers and make composite restorations.

What is the difference between a WWII veteran and a WWII participant?

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War are people who generally went through these terrible years, that is, the concept is very broad. This includes those who fought directly at the front, and who were residents of besieged Leningrad, who worked in the rear, partisans, those who visited concentration camps, even children born during the war years, etc.

The concept of “Veterans of the Great Patriotic War” given in the Federal Law “On Veterans” is a broader concept than participants of the Great Patriotic War. The participants directly took part in hostilities on the fronts, and were also drafted into the active army, but did not get to the front, for example, because hostilities ended. So the conscription born in 1927 almost never reached the front. In addition to WWII participants, WWII veterans also include other categories: home front workers, blockade survivors, minor prisoners of concentration camps and ghettos, state security officials, and partisans.

What is the difference between veneers and braces

Veneers are permanently attached to the teeth. Braces are a temporary orthodontic design that allows you to correct misaligned teeth. Sometimes patients are interested in “composite braces” - but in reality they are just veneers.

Indeed, thanks to veneers, we can correct the appearance of teeth - for example, by treating a protruding piece of tooth and giving it the correct shape. But this is not an entirely correct treatment, but a compromise that some patients agree to who want a beautiful smile, but do not want to wear braces that allow them to put their teeth in a straight row.

If a person has a correct bite and good healthy teeth, it does not always make sense to undergo orthodontic treatment to turn one tooth half a millimeter. Sometimes it is easier to place a veneer.

If a person has an incorrect bite or crooked, but at the same time good and healthy teeth, then in order to correct this with the help of veneers, the tooth will have to be processed too much. In this situation, a doctor who respects himself and the patient will insist on wearing braces.

It is not advisable to install braces over veneers. Braces do not adhere well to ceramics, so there is a chance that they will often come off. In addition, you will have to use glue, traces of which will then be impossible to polish out. If a person already has veneers, you can try to correct the bite of the teeth with the help of aligners.

Types of veneers by installation methods and materials

Based on the installation method, veneers can be divided into two large types.

Direct - they are made directly in the patient's mouth, indirect - they are made in the workshop by a dental technician, and the doctor then glues them to the patient's teeth.

There are also semi-direct veneers, but they have nothing to do with medicine. These are removable overlays for teeth made of composite filling material, which is baked in special ovens. Such veneers are sold ready-made, and they are intended solely to make teeth look beautiful in photographs. You cannot wear semi-direct veneers all the time: the onlays on the teeth are not individual, so diction suffers in them. They are also very fragile - they can break during eating and injure the mucous membrane.

Based on the material used, veneers are divided into ceramic and veneers made from filling material.

Ceramic veneers. Ceramic veneers are thin coverings on teeth. They are made by dental technicians: additional layers of pressed ceramic are applied layer by layer to the ceramic frame, thanks to which the workpiece becomes like a tooth with a beautiful cutting edge. Then the dental technician fires the workpiece in a furnace and receives a finished onlay for the tooth.

Ceramic veneers are divided into classic and refractory. These two types of veneers differ in thickness and installation methods:

  1. Classic veneers are 0.3-0.5 mm thick over the entire surface and 1 mm on the cutting edge. When installing classic veneers, teeth need to be ground down to prevent them from becoming too large.
  2. Refractory veneers are made without a frame, using layer-by-layer application of conventional feldspathic ceramics. It is soft and fragile, but in the right hands it can produce beautiful and aesthetically pleasing work. It is difficult to install such veneers, which is why they are expensive. In some cases, refractory veneers can be done without dental treatment.

Veneers made from filling material. There are two types: dental onlays and composite veneers. These two types of veneers differ in purpose and installation methods.

  1. Onlays for teeth made of composite filling material, made by a dental technician. They resemble ceramic ones in appearance and function.
  2. Composite. They are somewhat reminiscent of a shellac manicure, only for teeth. The dentist installs them right in the office: he removes a small layer of enamel on the front surface of the tooth, applies a light-polymer composite filling material to it in layers and “dries” it with an ultraviolet lamp. Such veneers do not have their own frame - this makes it possible to minimize the thickness of the tooth, but this method cannot always be used.

What benefits are provided for children of war in a number of regions?

Let us repeat: at the federal level, the list of benefits is at the development stage.

However, children of war can receive the following benefits in a number of regions:

  • discount on public transport fares;
  • discount on utility bills (in some regions - all, in others - only some);
  • the right to a medical examination without waiting in line;
  • the right to receive free medicines with a doctor's prescription.

In some cities, such citizens can install a telephone at home without waiting in line.

They have reduced rates for the provision of medical services, and they can use them right on the day of treatment.

Summarize. Who are the veterans of the Great Patriotic War?

These are not only combatants. These also include those who worked in the rear and participated in the construction of defensive structures.

This category also includes persons who survived the siege of Leningrad and have the appropriate certificates.

Veterans are awarded a preferential pension and monthly bonuses. Their widows may enjoy certain privileges.

Although benefits for war children have not yet been established at the federal level, they already have some advantages in a number of regions.

Advantages and disadvantages

Ceramic veneers. The most aesthetic type of veneers. In some cases, ceramic veneers can last 10-20 years and still look as good as the first day after installation on the tooth. The service life depends on the technology and how well the doctor and technician did their work.

Veneers made from filling material. In appearance they are inferior to ceramic ones. Over time, the filling material fades, delaminates, changes color, can chip - in general, the same thing happens to it as with any other filling. This is a budget restoration option that will most likely have to be redone in 3-5 years.

Who Belongs to WWII Veterans and Those Equal to Them

b) persons who worked at air defense facilities, in the construction of defensive structures, naval bases, airfields and other military facilities; crew members of transport fleet ships interned at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War in the ports of other states;

What categories of citizens are WWII veterans? What forms of social support are provided for them?

On January 3, 2021, amendments made by Federal Law No. 426-FZ to the Law “On Veterans” came into effect, according to which veterans of the Great Patriotic War include persons who participated in work organized by Osoviakhim of the USSR and local authorities in the period from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945 in the collection of ammunition and military equipment, demining of territory and objects, as well as combat trawling in units not part of the navy.

As well as maintaining the right to professional assistance in medical institutions where the veteran was observed before he retired; Free production of any types of prostheses and their installation, with the exception of dental prosthetics.

The amount of compensation, pension payments, benefits and other benefits depends on the category to which the veteran is classified. Legislatively, the list of benefits is determined by Articles 14-19 of the Federal Law “On Veterans”, and the amount of transfers is determined by Article 23.1.

Persons equated to WWII veterans in the Russian Federation

participants in the Great Patriotic War and persons equivalent to them, persons awarded orders and medals of the former USSR for selfless labor and impeccable military service in the rear during the Great Patriotic War, persons who worked (served) for at least six months from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945 and not awarded orders and medals of the former USSR for selfless labor and impeccable military service in the rear during the Great Patriotic War, disabled people, as well as one of the parents of a disabled person since childhood;

At the same time, according to Article 83 of the Budget Code of the Russian Federation, if a law or other regulatory legal act is adopted that provides for an increase in expenditure obligations for existing types of expenditure obligations or the introduction of new types of expenditure obligations that, before its adoption, were not implemented by any public legal entity, the specified a regulatory legal act must contain rules defining the sources and procedure for fulfilling new types of expenditure obligations.

The difference between the veneers that were installed 15 years ago and now is huge

I had a diastema (a gap between my teeth), and since childhood I dreamed that I would grow up, earn money and get beautiful teeth. When I grew up and had money, it was no longer possible to do any operations, since veneers appeared. It was spring 2006.

I came to the clinic and said that I wanted veneers for my two front teeth. The cost and everything else didn’t interest me. They persuaded me to do not two veneers, but four. They justified it this way: the front teeth should be slightly longer than the rest - this looks more correct and healthier. Therefore, let's make veneers longer than your natural teeth. But then there will be a big difference between the front ones and the neighboring ones, and this is ugly. Therefore, it is better to do four at once. These veneers cost me 14 thousand rubles.

I was advised not to eat anything that stained heavily: the material did not absorb much of the dyes. That is, I began to avoid beets. Over time, the joint between the teeth darkened, and quite strongly. I didn’t know what to do with it, but I didn’t really intend to do anything.

In 2021, I went to get all my teeth fixed before buying an apartment. I was afraid that then there would be no money for this for several years. And the doctor persuaded me to update my veneers. He said that they already look unaesthetic, the materials are old, and the technology was not yet up to par. And now they do everything much better and more beautiful.

Previous veneers were done to me, as I now understand, by applying filling material in layers. And now they offered to make ceramic veneers. It took more than two weeks. First they made impressions, and then temporary veneers. Then we spent a very long time choosing and agreeing with the doctor on the main parameters - color, shape, etc. While they were making the final ones, I went with the temporary ones. They are made in one piece, so walking with them at first is not very pleasant, but then you get used to it. When the main ones were ready, they were installed separately.

I didn’t look for a clinic for a long time, but came to the first dentistry I came across. It turned out that it was not cheap there. The doctor quietly caught me in the corridor and suggested that I come to her at another clinic, where everything was half the price. Since I liked the doctor, I ended up doing everything as she suggested. It took RUB 92,000 for everything, but I’m happy because aesthetically the difference is huge.

Indications and contraindications for installation

Indications for installation of veneers:

  1. Fillings on the front side of the tooth.
  2. The enamel is an unsightly yellow or gray color that cannot be lightened by bleaching.
  3. Anomalies in the structure of teeth.
  4. Curvature of teeth.
  5. Chipped or worn teeth.

Contraindications for installing veneers:

  1. Lack of healthy enamel. Veneers are much more securely attached to enamel than to dentin. If the enamel is damaged, veneers cannot be installed - most likely, more extensive restorations will be required.
  2. Decompensated chewing loads: abrasion, bruxism, absence of a large number of chewing teeth, problems with the incisal and protrusive guide. Veneers can be placed only when other problems have been resolved.

Is it possible to get veneers for athletes? People who engage in martial arts or extreme sports can get veneers - but only on the condition that they always wear mouth guards.

How to place veneers

How to prepare for installation. Before placing veneers, you often need to repair your teeth - replace old fillings. And if in the area where veneers are supposed to be placed there are teeth without a nerve, you need to do a root canal revision. Sometimes, based on the results of the audit, it turns out that a crown, rather than a veneer, should have been placed on the tooth. Some patients require gum correction before getting veneers. This means that the patient first needs to be treated by a surgeon.

Some orthopedic surgeons can prepare patients for veneers themselves. Then you won’t have to contact other doctors.

Stage 1 - analysis of the condition of the teeth. To do this, the doctor photographs the patient with a light and wide smile. Using these photographs, the doctor evaluates the condition of the teeth and soft tissues to understand whether they need to be corrected.

Stage 2 - preparing a cast and mock-up of the teeth. The doctor makes silicone impressions of the teeth or scans the teeth in a special scanner. The doctor sends the silicone impression or digital scan to the technician to the laboratory. Based on a silicone impression, the technician casts models of teeth, on top of which he applies real or “digital” wax. Wax helps give teeth the desired shape. The result is a mock-up of “ideal” teeth (experts call it a wax-up) - and the technician can take into account the patient’s wishes. However, in most cases, doctors have a better understanding of which tooth shape suits which face shape, so you should trust their experience.

Stage 3 - trying on the model on the teeth. The technician sends the finished layout to the doctor. The doctor transfers the model into the patient's mouth using a silicone impression filled with plastic of the desired shade - this process is called mock-up. As a result, the teeth take the same shape as on the model. If the patient likes the result, work can continue.

Next steps depend on which veneers the patient chooses. If they are composite, then the doctor will install veneers on the same visit, without doing anything else to the teeth. If ceramic, then stage 4 will begin.

Stage 4 - tooth preparation. Preparation is necessary to create space for the ceramic veneer. The doctor prepares the teeth through a model - exactly to the depth that the veneer will occupy. Then you will need to make an impression or scan of the treated teeth and send it to the laboratory. Permanent porcelain veneers take one to three weeks to complete.

All this time, the patient will wear temporary veneers, which the doctor will make and stick on during the same visit. Temporary veneers are made from composite plastic according to the same layout that was used for fitting.

Plastic veneers are almost as comfortable as permanent ones. Almost - because it is a monolithic structure. No one makes separate plastic veneers for each tooth, because they will be too fragile.

The only disadvantage of plastic veneers is that the plastic can absorb food residues and begin to smell slightly. But there will be no unpleasant consequences for dental health in such a short period of time.

Stage 5 - installation of permanent veneers. When the permanent ceramic veneers are ready, the doctor invites the patient for a final visit, removes the temporary veneers, tries on them and sticks on the permanent ones. If the patient or doctor doesn’t like something during the fitting, you can send the veneers back to the technician and make minor adjustments.

Do you have to file down your teeth to get veneers? If you need to make larger ones out of small teeth, then only a minimal ledge is made on the teeth - a mark from a drill on the teeth. They are needed to connect the veneer to the tooth enamel tightly and without sagging. But if the patient’s teeth are of normal size, they will need to be reduced in size - otherwise the layout and the final result will not match in proportions. To do this, the teeth will have to be processed a little more significantly.

After treatment for veneers, teeth do not hurt. All processing (grinding) for veneers takes place within the enamel. Enamel is a protective barrier, similar to the shell of an egg, so there are no areas sensitive to pain. If the patient’s enamel is damaged and the problem cannot be solved by filling, then before treating the tooth for veneer, the patient is given a slight anesthesia.

Sometimes patients come to the doctor who would like to correct the shape of their teeth, but are not ready to wear braces. If patients agree to have their teeth filed down heavily, the problem can be solved with veneers. In this situation, doctors treat the teeth down to the deep layers of enamel and superficial layers of dentin. To prevent such teeth from becoming too sensitive, immediately after treatment, the exposed dentin is sealed with a desensitizer - a special compound that protects the dentin from damage and the tooth from unpleasant sensations.

There is no need to remove nerves from the roots of teeth. The teeth under veneers remain alive, and nothing bad happens to them. Everything between the veneer and the enamel is sealed, dry, and germs and food debris do not penetrate there. The tooth works like a healthy one, but at the same time looks more attractive.

How long does installation take? Much depends on the perseverance of the patient, the complexity of the work and the number of veneers. The work takes from three to six hours.

Sometimes the installation of veneers is divided into several stages - for example, on the first visit they are placed on the upper jaw, and on the second visit on the lower jaw. Several visits may be required if there are a lot of veneers to be placed and the person needs anesthesia - you cannot increase the dosage of painkillers beyond a certain limit.

What you need to know before installation

How many teeth can veneers be installed on? There are no restrictions on the number of veneers. Most often, the patient's choice depends on the degree of openness of the smile. Most people need 6 veneers, but some people have such an open smile that they need 10-12 veneers. At the same time, some patients want all the teeth in their mouth to be the same color - then veneers can be placed on all teeth.

Do I need to get used to veneers? After installation of veneers, the teeth may increase slightly in volume, so it may be slightly unusual. At the same time, classic veneers cover only the front surface of the tooth and do not cause any inconvenience. The only thing you'll have to get used to is the beauty - and you'll be able to eat as soon as you get out of the dentist's chair.

How natural will the teeth look after installation? If everything is done correctly, teeth with veneers installed on them will look natural and beautiful.

The top row is the teeth before treatment, the bottom row is after the installation of veneers. Photo: Alexander Lapyko

Sometimes patients do not quite adequately understand the task of installing veneers. Sometimes a person looks at a “photoshopped” photo in which the teeth are insanely white, comes to the doctor and says that he wants the same ones. However, not everyone suits such whiteness.

Teeth colors are called bleach. Bleach 1 is an “acid white” color that looks provocative and is only suitable for people with very white skin. Most people find Bleach 4, a less garish shade, looks nice and natural.

There is a subtlety to the choice of color. The patient makes a decision at the third stage - that is, at the stage of trying on the model. But they do not measure ready-made ceramic crowns on teeth, but temporary plastic, which looks much duller. If patients choose brighter teeth at this stage, the permanent crowns will end up being much whiter than they expected. It will no longer be possible to fix this. In order not to be disappointed with the results of the procedure and not to overpay for the alteration, it is better to consult a doctor about choosing the color of your teeth.

Is it true that all Hollywood stars have veneers? Veneers are indeed very popular among celebrities, but it is not a fact that everyone has them. What we see on the screen may be an optical illusion. In addition, many doctors notice that some stars have obvious problems with their teeth and smile - but they seem to be happy with everything.

Can veneers fall off or fall out? It won't fall out, but, unfortunately, it can come off. This happens rarely, mainly in case of violation of the procedure protocol - for example, if the veneer was not dried correctly.

In some cases, the veneer may come off if the patient has any dental problems - but then the doctor must warn that this is, in principle, possible. If the veneer comes off, the work will have to be redone - most often this is done free of charge. Nothing depends on the glue the doctor uses. Each doctor works with the glue that is more convenient for him to use personally - for the patient there is no difference.

How difficult is it to damage veneers? A veneer can be broken and chipped, just like your own tooth. Ceramic is not a shockproof design, so it does not protect against injury. Therefore, people who have veneers have certain restrictions.

You'll have to give up some bad habits. You should not husk seeds, bite meat bones, or evaluate the strength of objects “to the teeth” - because of this, the veneers and the teeth underneath them may chip. It is also forbidden to “bite” coins and forks, chew threads, open beer with your teeth, and bite apples “to tear off” - at the same time you can tear off your veneers. Apples and other hard fruits and vegetables will need to be cut with a knife. There are no other restrictions.

Is there a guarantee for veneers? In different clinics, the guarantee is given for different periods, most often within 6-12 months. This time is enough to evaluate the quality of the doctor’s work and the patient’s hygiene skills. If during this period the patient chips, breaks or peels off the veneer, doctors will fix it free of charge.

Some clinics offer a lifetime guarantee on veneers. In practice, this means that the price of the guarantee is included in the initially inflated price for installing veneers. However, more often than not, such an “extended” warranty is simply a marketing ploy designed to justify the high price. Most defects are detected in the first six months. If nothing bad happened to the veneers during this period, most likely they will last a long time and reliably.

How long will it take for the veneers to be replaced? Veneers need to be changed if they chip, break, or come off—or if the patient’s mood changes. If he wants to change the color or shape of the veneers, this can also be done at any time - at his own expense.

If the veneers look good, and there is no caries or chips on the other side of the tooth, and if the veneers suit the patient, there is no point in changing them - even if decades have passed since the installation.

How to care for veneers

Caring for veneers is the same as caring for your own teeth. Use a toothbrush, irrigator and dental floss.

Is it possible to bleach veneers? You can't whiten veneers, but you can have your teeth professionally cleaned. Coffee and tea stains can get into the space between the veneers, so they can be cleaned. True, if you are having professional cleaning done by a doctor other than the one who installed veneers for you, you need to warn him about veneers so that he can choose a more delicate instrument.

Payments

For example, many are interested in payments and benefits. In Russia, persons with special statuses are entitled to pension supplements. And veterans are no exception. They receive increased pension payments. Moreover, in all regions it is mandatory.

Perhaps this option is found in 100% of the country’s cities. Pension payments are processed in approximately the same way as a regular pension. But the application indicates that the citizen wants to receive benefits as a veteran. Proof of status is attached. After this, the Pension Fund will assign increased payments. They change annually and are indexed. Regions have established their own pension values for veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

How much does it cost to install one veneer?

The price varies from 16,000 to 100,000 RUR per veneer. If the clinic is foreign, then it may be even more.

Is the price different for front and back teeth? On the back teeth (teeth 4, 5, 6 and 7), as a rule, crowns are placed rather than veneers, the installation of which requires more grinding of the tooth. Some people can get veneers on teeth 4 and 5 - but only if they are free of caries. If the volume of the filling is more than half the volume of the tooth, then only a crown can be placed on the tooth.

If veneers are placed on the back teeth, they will cost the same as the front ones. As a rule, installing a veneer is more difficult than installing a crown. However, in some cases, installing a crown requires additional preparation, so it can cost more than a veneer - about 25,000 RUR.

What benefits does an honored veteran of the home front have?

Currently, all people who fall under these criteria and wish to receive benefits from the state must contact the Pension Fund office at their place of residence with the following documents:

Home front veterans are considered to be people who received awards for selfless work during the war, as well as children who were at least 16 years old. If the age was 15 years, then the person can receive the status of a home front veteran if he was credited with working days. During the war period, children and younger children worked, so such people need to bring at least two witnesses and provide a document confirming that at that time the person was the youngest in the family.

Veneers for two front teeth in St. Petersburg cost me 40,000 RUR

I got veneers on my two front upper teeth in the summer of 2021. My indications for this were primarily of an aesthetic nature. One of the teeth darkened several shades a few years ago after pulpitis was removed, and both pulpless “units” had small chips along the lower edge. In addition, according to my dentist, these teeth had too fragile and thin front walls after pulpitis, and over the years the risk that they could break increased, and then I would have to think about implants. It was impossible to place crowns in such a situation. As a result, we settled on veneers, which would even out the color of my teeth and strengthen them a little.

Veneers for two front teeth cost me 40 thousand rubles in one of the St. Petersburg clinics where I had my teeth done before: I have three crowns and one implant on my back teeth, and the doctor was well known to me.

I spent about 10 thousand in advance on a dentist, who changed the old fillings, strengthened the teeth additionally and sharpened them a little for veneers.

The veneers were made according to my measurements. The doctor took impressions and selected the most natural colors and materials. These were not the cheapest veneers, but not super expensive either: they showed me work for 60, 80, 100 thousand.

For about two weeks I walked around with temporary “splints” on my front teeth. It was uncomfortable and I had to absolutely bite everything with my side teeth. But still, at some point, a piece of the temporary veneer broke off, and I had to urgently glue it back at the dentist near my house for 400 RUR: the next day there was an important event, and I did not have time to get to my master orthodontist.

Now, after almost a year, I am very pleased with the result and think about why I didn’t do it earlier: although I never had a complex about a darkened tooth and willingly smiled in the photo, after the installation the difference was noticeable, and for the better.

What affects the cost of veneers

The way a dental technician works. Technicians can work both with and without a microscope, and can make both “live” beautiful ceramics and more standard models.

All porcelain veneers are made from the same materials. But some technicians make veneers of standard average quality, while others make very beautiful veneers, but they take longer to complete and are more expensive. The same doctor works with several techniques at once, so the patient can choose both standard work and more expensive exclusive work. All this is agreed upon in advance.

Clinic level. The more popular clinics employ more expensive doctors - but in fact they will have the same veneers and dental technicians. The results obtained in a “promoted” and a more modest clinic are sometimes the same.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War in Belarus

According to Belarusian legislation, veterans of the Great Patriotic War are persons who took part in military operations to defend the Fatherland or in providing military units of the active army in combat areas, as well as persons awarded orders or medals of the USSR for selfless labor and impeccable military service in the rear in years of the Great Patriotic War.

The Belarusian public association of veterans, together with government bodies and other public organizations of the republic, takes care of maintaining monuments of military glory in proper condition, participates in the search for unknown graves of soldiers of the Soviet Army, partisans, underground fighters and civilians who died at the hands of fascist invaders, and participates in their solemn ceremony reburial, improvement of mass graves.

Veneers can last indefinitely. However, sometimes situations arise when they need to be changed

  1. the patient decided to change the shape or color of previously installed structures - for example, the shade of the teeth;
  2. there are problems with the tooth itself on which the veneer is fixed, for example, caries;
  3. Periodontal problems have arisen, as a result of which the gum level has risen (recession) and part of the tooth between the edge of the veneer and the gum has become visible.

If the tooth has changed position and the patient does not want to correct it with the help of an orthodontist, the option remains to replace the veneer with another one or with a new orthopedic crown that compensates for this deformation (for example, rotation of the tooth). But in this case, it is worth remembering that the orthodontic option for teeth correction is preferable, since it is more gentle.

When installing veneers, it is better not to save money. It is worth choosing an option that will minimally affect the natural tissues of the teeth: high-quality ceramics and an experienced orthopedic dentist.

How to choose a doctor and clinic

You either need to look at a portfolio - this is a folder with photographs or a video recording that the doctor made in his office. Doctors do not process photographs of their work - it is not profitable for doctors to destroy patients’ expectations, and it is, in principle, very difficult to process videos.

The second option is to take a closer look at the “live” results that your friends received. If you like it, it makes sense to make an appointment with the same doctor.

You should not believe the photographs of patients that they post on their personal Instagram and social networks. There is a good chance that the photographs were processed in Photoshop before publication - not to deceive you, but simply to make the person depicted in them look better.

What you need to know if you are going to get veneers

  1. All veneers can be divided into two types: ceramic and made from filling material. Ceramic ones are more beautiful and durable, but are more expensive.
  2. Installation of ceramic veneers takes place in two visits and takes 3-6 hours.
  3. Ceramic veneers look as natural as possible - it seems that your teeth are naturally beautiful. But when choosing a color, you should trust your doctor - if you make your teeth too white, it will look unsightly.
  4. To place veneers, your teeth will have to be ground down. So, it is better not to get veneers for people with normal, beautiful teeth of a natural shade without caries or fillings.
  5. The cost of installing one veneer is from 16,000 to 100,000 RUR per veneer. If the clinic is foreign, it may be even more expensive.
