Rules for obtaining a Lithuanian visa
According to the principles governing competences within the framework of the Convention on the Application of the Schengen Agreement, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Minsk accepts an application for a Schengen visa for consideration only when.
The website of the Lithuanian embassy is increasingly malfunctioning, due to which it has become much more difficult to register online to submit documents, users report to TUT.BY. The registration difficulties are very similar to those that the Polish embassy in Belarus has been dealing with for years. The Lithuanian embassy itself admits that there are technical glitches on the site, but they do not say why. They only hint that this is “beneficial to someone.” When asked to whom, they suggest answering... the journalists themselves.
To apply for a visa at the Lithuanian consulates in Belarus, you must register on the embassy website. Only by filling out an online form and receiving a date with a specific time for submitting documents, you will be able to go to the embassy. The Polish Embassy in Belarus has the same system, where problems with registration have existed for more than one year. True, if problems with the Polish embassy arose a long time ago, problems with the Lithuanian embassy began to be talked about en masse only now.

Working
In order to get a job in the Republic of Lithuania, you will need a visa that gives the holder the right to work. To obtain it, you need to secure a vacancy or present yourself as an irreplaceable specialist who will be happy to be hired for a well-paid job.
Work visas are also issued to artists, athletes, sailors, businessmen who want to conduct work or business activities in Lithuania. The processing of this type of document takes longer than a regular visa - about three months. Issued for 1 year, after which it must be renewed.
National Long Term Visa D

- Apparatus employed.
- Long-term business trip.
- Studying at universities in Lithuania.

- Treatment within the country.
To obtain a category D visa, you will need documents proving the grounds for obtaining a national D visa and confirmation of the applicant’s financial well-being.
Transit
Any passenger traveling to a country outside the European Union will need a transit visa to Lithuania. Having a Schengen visa will replace a Lithuanian transit visa.
Other transit passengers with a transfer in Vilnius or Klaipeda, planning to go to the city, must receive a short-term document allowing temporary stay on the territory of the Spanish state.
How to get a transit visa to Lithuania via Kaliningrad by car
Slightly different rules exist for tourists traveling by car from Kaliningrad through Lithuania without a Schengen visa. In this case, Russians do not need to obtain a travel document to travel through Lithuanian territory. The route should pass through Lithuania and Belarus.
Traveling by car through Lithuania requires the following documents:
- Simplified transit document - this paper is issued for three years and allows you to stay on Lithuanian territory for 24 hours. The document does not give the right to enter neighboring Latvia and Poland, as well as other EU countries.
- Medical insurance of international standard.
- Green card - this document replaces the Russian MTPL policy for a car.
A simplified transit document can be obtained from the Lithuanian Embassy in Moscow or St. Petersburg, as well as from any visa center. The production time for the FTD will take about a week, and you will have to pay 5 euros for it. All passengers traveling on a trip must have a FTD.
