How to get a Schengen visa to Estonia in 2021?

Where to find the form

You can download the application form for an Estonian visa here, as well as on the website of the Estonian Embassy. You can fill it out online at https://www.estemb.ru/posolstvo.

After going to the website of the Estonian Embassy in Moscow, you will need to go through the following points:

  1. Visas (the column is located on the left of the page).
  2. Tips for filling out. This page provides a link to the electronic questionnaire https://eelviisataotlus.vm.ee/est/page/0/13160xvt7djy08000mgv7wrh76b5lcbzngipfqu4tsk41kpwyz8zwwjmdmtuhdbrd8hmi5y5rkdmzlgfd28dw3whtdcnmlxwb4m6.

The contents of the questionnaires do not differ. Their difference lies in appearance.

The Online Visa Center can help you fill out the application form and prepare all the necessary documents for obtaining a visa to Estonia.

Filling out an application for a visa to Estonia (example)

The form must be filled out in English. Questions are asked in Russian, English or Estonian - as desired. The screenshots below show an example of filling out a questionnaire for an adult.

Filling out online

The electronic version of the questionnaire consists of 13 pages. All items must be filled out, because if one of the items remains empty, the applicant will not be able to go to another page to continue filling out.

After filling out the electronic form, the form is assigned a registration number. Therefore, if the applicant entered incorrect data, the application form will have to be rewritten. Accordingly, register again and receive a registration number.

It is impossible to interrupt the process of filling out the form electronically. Therefore, the applicant will need to prepare in advance all the necessary documentation that may be needed when filling out.

After entering the information, the system offers the applicant an additional form. It must be filled out if the applicant will be accompanied on the trip by his family or one of his relatives.

Upon completion of filling out, you will need to select the date of your expected visit to the consulate. To do this, you need to go to the calendar and mark the desired date.

Is it possible to correct errors?

When filling out forms you need to be extremely careful. You cannot correct data on a form that has already been printed. Each copy of the application is assigned its own registration number. If errors are made in the questionnaire, a new one is acceptable, but with a new copy the tourist registration number also changes.

If a form with incorrect data reaches the immigration officers, and they miss it, or they themselves apply for a visa incorrectly, then this can result in major troubles for the traveler.

Filling out on paper

It is easier to fill out the form on paper. Firstly, the applicant initially sees all the questions. Even if he does not know what to answer in this or that point, he can use the sample questionnaires that are available at the diplomatic mission. If you cannot fill out the form according to the sample, then it is better to seek help from the staff of the visa center or consulate. Consent to data processing is signed there. .

Filling out electronically (PDF file)

This option is simpler than the previous one, since you can view all the items at once, fill out those that you understand, and consult on the rest by calling the consulate or searching for information on the Internet. In addition, it can be edited in case of errors or corrected changed data (if any).

The easiest way, of course, is to fill out the Estonian visa application form on paper directly at the consulate, where there is a sample form and employees who can explain unclear points.

Items requiring special attention

As previously noted, the online questionnaire and the paper form do not differ in content. When filling out, special attention should be paid to the following fields:

  • 1, 2, 3 points – you will need to provide personal data. It is better to copy from your passport to avoid mistakes. Data is entered in Latin letters.
  • 7 p. – citizenship received at birth and citizenship at the moment are indicated.
  • 11 p. – filled out only if you have a personal code.
  • 13 paragraphs – the registration number of the document is written without using spaces, periods or commas.
  • 17 p. – the actual home address is indicated, not the registration address. You will also need to provide a valid contact phone number.
  • 25 p. – when applying for a multiple-entry visa, you will need to indicate the maximum number of days that the applicant plans to spend in Estonia. In this case, you need to specify no more than 90 days.
  • 26 p. – clarify all issued Schengen visas over the last three years. Initially, the date of issue is written, then the expiration date, and then the country to which the visa was issued.
  • 27 p. – answer whether the applicant’s fingerprints were taken.
  • 31 items – to be filled in only by persons traveling to Estonia by invitation. In this column you should clarify information regarding the inviting person. If the applicant is not sure of the accuracy of the information, then all the necessary data can be found in the invitation itself.
  • 33 p. – clarify at whose expense the expenses associated with the trip to Estonia are covered. If all expenses are paid by the applicant, select the option “the applicant himself”. Mark with a cross.
  • 34, 35 points - filled out only by persons who have relatives in the territory of the European Union. It is worth considering that relatives must be citizens of these countries. If the applicant has relatives, then information about them will be required.
  • 37 points – a signature is required. If the form is filled out for a child who is not yet fifteen years old, then his parents sign for him. If the child is older than this age, but has not yet reached the age of majority (18 years), then the parents and the child themselves sign.

Before signing, it is advisable for the applicant to familiarize himself with the general information presented at the end of the form. The signature confirms the applicant’s familiarization and agreement with the general provisions and rules of stay on the territory of the Republic of Estonia.
