The best areas and cities of Crimea to live in 2021

Where is it better to live in Crimea?

If you have made a firm decision to move to Crimea, then you should decide where you will settle. Each Crimean city and village is attractive and beautiful in its own way. Probably, in order to make a choice, you need to live in several places, be able to compare, and choose what is right for you. Travel around Tavria first, take a closer look. The main cities where both tourists and people who want to live permanently in Crimea come are the following.

Simferopol

The economic, governmental, political and cultural center of Crimea, located in the very heart of the peninsula. An undoubted advantage of living in Simferopol will be the availability of work, independent of the tourist season. A beautiful green city, interesting culturally and historically. There are theaters, museums, squares and parks, restaurants and cafes - everything your heart desires. The city has a railway station and a bus station, they allow a person to go to any corner of Crimea. The airport is located about 10 minutes drive from Simferopol. Transport links are very developed; for example, you can even get to the southern coast of the peninsula by trolleybus. There are legends about Crimean trolleybuses - they travel enormous distances. But such a wonderful city also has a significant disadvantage - the sea is far away; to swim and sit on the shore, you need to travel more than 40 km.

Sevastopol

A military city of federal significance, the largest in Crimea, a trade and fishing port that does not freeze in winter. It has a good climate, many parks and boulevards, and picturesque embankments. Sevastopol has a huge number of attractions and monuments created in honor of people who participated in the Crimean and Great Patriotic Wars. The architectural symbol of the city is the “Monument to Sunken Ships,” located near Nakhimov Square; we will all soon see this monument on the Russian 200-ruble banknote. The city is home to the main naval base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This is an absolute advantage for those who can go to work in the navy. The downside will be the high cost of housing (real estate is even more expensive than in Moscow), and salaries are quite low.

Yalta

Yalta is a resort paradise, but is it good if you want to live here permanently? During the tourist season, probably not, since the huge number of vacationers is depressing. The city has a very beautiful location, it is surrounded by mountains and is located as if in. Yalta is famous for its parks, especially Vorontsovsky, Livadia and Kiparisny, as well as the mountain-forest nature reserve. Of course, such beauty will not leave anyone indifferent, which is why Yalta attracts many. Its climate contributes to the development of agriculture and fishing; winemaking predominates in industry - the famous Massandra grape and winemaking plant is located in Yalta. There are probably few people who have not tried Massandra port or wine. The city has employment opportunities thanks to many different types of enterprises - construction companies, financial institutions, and trading firms. The standard of living in Yalta is higher than in other Crimean cities, but the average income of the population is still low. This city is suitable for those who are financially secure, because life there is expensive.

Kerch

The city is located in the eastern part of the Crimean peninsula, on the shores of the Kerch Strait. Kerch has a wonderful ecology, clean sea air, a small number of industrial enterprises, but a developed urban infrastructure. There are a large number of hospitals, universities, a sports and fitness complex, a swimming pool, and even its own football team. The city center is divided into two halves by a mountain range, the highest point of which is Mount Mithridates. The ancient Greek city of Panticapaeum was once here; now ruins remain of it, constantly attracting tourists. Most of the population works in enterprises specializing in fisheries. Kerch is located on the shores of two seas at once, so the local cuisine is distinguished by its commitment to fish dishes. People here like pilaf with mussels, fried red mullet, sturgeon kebab and bull cutlets. If you share the taste preferences of the locals, then you will like it in Kerch.

Other cities

There are also many other cities in Crimea, each of which is interesting in some way:

  • Koktebel (a village in Feodosia) is distinguished by a calm and measured life; the population is mainly employed in the tourism sector or works at the Koktebel factory of fine wines and cognacs. Housing is relatively inexpensive.
  • Sudak is a beautiful city with many architectural attractions, for example, the Genoese fortress is located there. Sudak has several schools, a hospital, libraries, and a cultural center. The main economic sector is the production of champagne and fine wines. The famous Crimean rose oil is made here. Previously, the city had problems with fresh water, but in 2015, the Russian Ministry of Defense completed installation work on laying pipelines, thereby resolving this issue.

  • Alushta. Alushta has a developed tourist infrastructure, a large number of sanatoriums, a dairy plant and a plant producing reinforced concrete structures. If your specialty allows you to work at any of these enterprises, then this city may be suitable for you.
  • Bakhchisaray is a city imbued with oriental flavor. In spring, the streets there resemble a blooming garden - apple, peach and cherry trees can be seen on every corner. The main attraction is the Bakhchisarai Palace. Housing in Bakhchisarai costs less than in large cities, food prices are average. The majority of the population works at cement and wine factories, while others are employed in the tourism sector. The sea is close - 20 km from the city.

  • Evpatoria is a resort town with many medical institutions. If your profession is related to medicine, then there will be no problems with employment. The city will appeal to lovers of sandy beaches, since practically nowhere else in Crimea there are beaches with a sandy bottom near the shores and with rare and small waves.

Crimea is somewhere else Ukraine, and somewhere else it’s Russia. Top best and worst cities to live in

According to Rosstat, about 50 thousand Russians annually move for permanent residence to Crimea from other regions. Northerners are the most willing to travel to the peninsula. The move is encouraged not only by the warm climate and proximity of the Black Sea, but also by billions of dollars in federal financial injections into the socio-economic sphere, in which the peninsula has already overtaken Chechnya. Experts predict that with further development of infrastructure, the influx of migrants will only increase. FederalPress figured out which cities on the peninsula are best to live in, not just vacation, and which settlements should be avoided.

Worst Cities to Live in

Yalta. Prices are Moscow, and homeless people and pits are Crimean

Despite the title of the resort capital of Crimea, where fashionable 5-star hotels and expensive restaurants are located, Yalta is far from the best city on the peninsula to live in. About 80 thousand Crimeans live here. The average salary, according to the Trud.ru service, is 27 thousand rubles, which is 2 thousand less than the regional average. The highest paid industry in Yalta is top management, but even here the average salary does not exceed 40 thousand rubles.

Yalta is the most expensive city in Crimea. According to the results of Crimean Statistics monitoring in February 2021, the highest prices for food in Crimea are in Yevpatoria and Yalta. Housing is also expensive. As experts from the analytical center CIAN note, a square meter in Yalta on the secondary market costs an average of 119.8 thousand rubles. – this is an absolute record among the cities of the peninsula.

“Apartments are noticeably more expensive only in Moscow, and the secondary housing markets of St. Petersburg and Sochi are on the same level with Yalta prices. In 2014-2019, prices in Yalta increased by 59%,” CIAN experts report.

“Crimea can turn into a hard black offshore”

Yalta is among the anti-leaders in terms of the number of bad roads. On the “Map of Dead Roads” of the ONF there are more than 400 sections that require urgent repairs, more only in Simferopol. Yalta residents themselves also complain about exorbitantly high housing and communal services tariffs with low quality of services, illegal trade, aggressive development of the Primorsky Park and the coastal zone, the lack of a clear general plan, the dominance of garbage, homeless people in the city center and problems with sewerage.

“Unfortunately, nothing has changed in the housing and communal services sector in 5 years. There is money, but local authorities are using it poorly. Our most pressing issues are sewerage, garbage, and development. Now there is a barbaric development of the Primorsky beach and embankment; illegal high-rise buildings still stand in the Primorsky Park. For 5 years they have not been able to remove the broken berths in the port near the embankment. In the central part of the city, the historical village of Vasilyevka, there is still no sewerage system, all this goes into the river and ends up in the sea,” says Yalta journalist Sergei Sardyko .

Simferopol. Capital chaos

The capital of Crimea, founded on the site of ancient Scythian Naples, today looks like a provincial city with Soviet architecture, narrow streets, bad roads and old infrastructure. The city's leadership often changes, but Simferopol does not feel any fundamental positive changes from this.

Approximately 350 thousand people live in Simferopol, more only in Sevastopol. The average salary here is around 28 thousand rubles according to the Trud.ru service. The highest salaries are among realtors, top managers and engineers - they receive from 39 to 50 thousand rubles.

“This is the capital and there are more business opportunities here. It’s easier to find work than in small towns; salaries are quite high for Crimea. Many shopping and children's centers. But in terms of the quality of roads and housing and communal services, I would put Simferopol in last place in Crimea, it’s simply terrible. I used to think that Alushta was the dirtiest city, but now, in the off-season, it is much cleaner than Simferopol,” says public figure Alexander Yuryev.

The mayor's office recently estimated that half of the city's roads have no asphalt surface at all; Almost 500 sections of the ONF are identified as requiring emergency repairs. The story with garbage is no better - unauthorized landfills periodically appear even in the central parts of the city.

There is no general architect in the city. The construction of new territories is proceeding chaotically, reconstruction is carried out with violations. For example, in Gagarinsky Park, central to the city, after landscaping costing 43 million rubles, the lawns turned into lakes up to half a meter deep, with ducks swimming in them.

Simferopol is the leader of the “anti-rating” among Crimean cities based on several indicators. For example, in terms of rising prices for secondary housing - according to the analytical agency CIAN, over five years real estate has risen in price by +86% - 78 thousand rubles. per sq.m. This is 25-30% higher than in such major interregional centers as Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.

Ukraine will pay for the annexation of Crimea

The advantages of the city include fairly low prices for food, clothing and shoes in comparison with other Crimean cities, as well as a good geographical location, which makes it a key transport and logistics hub in the region. There is also a modern international airport and the Tavrida federal highway. The city has also recently begun to combat unauthorized trade. However, these positive facts did not radically change the life of the city.

Armyansk Environmental disaster and low wages

As a rule, small northern cities are “forgotten” by local media and authorities on the information agenda. There is no sea here, no one wants to invest in business and production, there is little work, the roads are in poor condition. The single-industry town of Armyansk with a population of 22 thousand people could have quietly slipped past the editorial “anti-rating” along with neighboring Dzhankoy, if not for the sad events of August-September last year, when an environmental disaster occurred at the city-forming enterprise of Armyansk.

Due to the drying out of the plant's acid storage tank, sulfur dioxide was released into the air, which causes irritation of the skin and mucous membranes, as well as pulmonary edema. The city withered away overnight, all the metal was covered with rust, birds fell dead. People complained of an unpleasant odor, a burning sensation in the nose and throat, nausea, and headaches. Sergei Aksenov then stated that there was no threat to people’s health. Then the situation stabilized, the authorities took up the environmental problem in the city, but a few days ago residents of Armyansk again complained of chemical odors and allergic reactions: cough, eye problems, rash.

“We don’t know anything about new emissions yet. Yesterday at the meeting the authorities remained silent on this matter. But living in a city with such an environment is dangerous. What has accumulated in the soils cannot be removed anywhere. The sludge must be processed and the acid storage tank must be covered with water. There are also plenty of occupational diseases. The production is not the best, it needs to be repurposed. But all this is somehow hushed up,” says the president of the Crimean Academy of Sciences, ecologist Viktor Tarasenko.

The economic situation in Armyansk is no better than the environmental one. The city is located on the Perekop Isthmus, connecting the Crimean Peninsula with the continent. In 2014, the Russian government included it in the list of single-industry towns in the country in which “there are risks of deterioration in the socio-economic situation.” Salaries in the city are low even for Crimea - the average is around 25 thousand rubles, but the majority receive about 15-20 thousand. The highest paying industries in Armyansk are tourism and catering. Salaries in the industry reach 45 thousand rubles. About the same amount can be obtained in production.

Best cities to live

Sevastopol. Most popular among Russians

Sevastopol is officially the most popular city in Crimea for moving to permanent residence. According to Rosstat, over 70% of all Russians who moved to the peninsula from 2014 to 2021 remained in Sevastopol, which has grown by 50 thousand in 5 years.

The largest city on the peninsula in terms of number of inhabitants and area is very specific and relates to Crimea only geographically. Wide streets, beautiful architecture, heroic history. It is actively growing and developing every year, turning into a scientific, cultural and business center of the region. The status of a city of federal significance allows Sevastopol to receive billions of dollars in annual injections from the federal budget: in 2021, within the framework of the Federal Target Program, it was allocated 19 billion rubles, and the entire Republic of Crimea - 92 billion rubles.

“The city has federal status, which allows it to develop dynamically: the infrastructure and transport network are being improved, roads are being built and repaired. It is planned to create a bridge across the Sevastopol Bay, which will make travel even more comfortable. There are no abandoned places. The downside is that the city is located in a geographical dead end, but we hope that the ports will begin to come to life and this will give positive economic dynamics. I would also like more active development of agriculture,” says Enver Mamutdinov, a member of the city’s public chamber.

In 2021, the development of the civil sector of Belbek will begin, which will allow Sevastopol to have its own airport. Sections 7 and 8 of the Tavrida highway pass nearby. A large-scale museum, theater, educational and cinema-concert complex is being built in the city center. Russia's largest living history park will open in September. It is planned to build a modern emergency hospital, an oncology clinic and a number of other medical and educational institutions.

Western business is interested in the economic opportunities of Crimea

But life in the city is quite expensive. According to the CIAN center, a square meter of housing on the secondary market costs a little less than Yalta - 91.9 thousand rubles. Food prices are also slightly lower than in Yalta. Transport travel costs 20 rubles, while in the Republic of Crimea tariffs are set at 15 and 17 rubles.

The average salary, according to the Trud.ru portal, as of January 2021 in Sevastopol is 26,700 rubles. Specialists in the fields of trade and production are most in demand here. The highest salaries are among realtors, top managers and engineers - they receive 35-45 thousand rubles each. There is a shortage of engineers in the city; cleaners, secretaries, drivers and nurses are also most in demand in the city.

Kerch. Affordable housing, bridge and industry

Kerch is an atypical Crimean city, whose economy is based not on the tourism sector, but on transport and production. This is a large port, shipbuilding and fishing center, and after the launch of the Crimean Bridge, the main logistics center for large cargo flows from mainland Russia. Industry is developed: metallurgical, brick, cement and other factories operate here. Salaries of those employed in production in Kerch are on average at the level of 50 thousand rubles, according to the Trud.ru portal. Designers and engineers earn about 44 thousand; they earn about the same in the transport sector. It is planned to open several more new production facilities.

At the same time, here are the most affordable housing prices among the major cities of Crimea. Even despite the growth in cost at an accelerated pace in connection with the launch of the Crimean Bridge, a square meter costs an average of 52.0 thousand rubles. Food prices are average in Crimea.

Among the shortcomings is the architecture, the city is quite gray and dull. In addition, the infrastructure here is in a deplorable state. Communications, according to local residents, are in critical condition, but this is typical of almost all cities of the peninsula.

“The Crimean Bridge allowed us to travel to the Krasnodar Territory without any problems and fly through Anapa airport, which is two times closer than Simferopol. Moscow is investing enormous amounts of money in the restoration of all factories and industrial complexes. In general, there are more advantages than disadvantages,” says Konstantin Ermanov, a socio-political figure from Kerch.

Feodosia. Both the sea and work

Another city whose life changes after the opening of the Crimean Bridge is Feodosia. A popular climatic and balneological resort with famous sanatoriums and mud baths, the birthplace of the artist Ivan Aivazovsky, not as popular as Yalta. Perhaps one of the few where it is equally comfortable to live and work. In the last year, Feodosia has strengthened its importance as a modern transport hub where roads, railways and sea routes converge. The city has a large sea trade port, an oil depot, and the Tavrida highway passes nearby.

But it was after the opening of the Crimean Bridge that real estate prices began to grow rapidly, but they are still almost two times lower than in Yalta - 65.6 thousand rubles per square meter. At the same time, the salary level is quite high by local standards: on average, city residents receive around 30 thousand rubles. Marketers and top managers can earn 50 thousand each. Quite a high salary in the transport and production sectors - 40-50 thousand rubles. At the same time, an office manager, for example, receives no more than 20 thousand. Another advantage of the city is its comfortable mild climate, good ecology and rich centuries-old history - in the Middle Ages it was the main port and control center of all the Genoese colonies in the Northern Black Sea region.

“Feodosia includes many resort villages that are famous for their natural beauty and sandy beaches. There are many attractions and monuments and a pleasant climate. There is no model city on the peninsula. The problems of Feodosia are typical for all Crimean cities. But it’s comfortable to live here,” says Feodosian resident and public figure Alexander Talipov.

Over the past four years, the city's leadership has changed several times, but this has had little effect on the quality of life. The problems in Feodosia are typical for most Crimean cities: housing and communal services, irregular water supply, poorly developed infrastructure, transport, development of green areas. But at the same time, there is no catastrophic situation in any industry. The road surface is assessed as average; there are 64 “dead” roads in the city - this, by the way, is 7.7 times less than in Simferopol.

Note

The editors considered Crimean cities with a population of more than 20 thousand people. None of the cities became the absolute leader in the number of positive or negative ratings, and not all of them were included in the rating. For example, many experts noted Yevpatoria as the cleanest Crimean city with beautiful architecture and the best ecology, but the city has virtually no manufacturing enterprises and poor employment, low wages and problematic infrastructure.

Selecting a location

First of all, it is worth deciding on the place that will be chosen for permanent residence. Once you make your choice, you can base your choice on real estate prices in this or nearby areas. Make a preliminary search for work and conditions that will satisfy the requirements, if necessary.

So, let's look at the largest cities on the peninsula:

  • Simferopol. The most populated city in Crimea. It is the capital of the Republic of Crimea and the administrative center. The city is divided into three districts. The central sector contains industrial enterprises and residential areas. In other parts there are parks, attractions, etc.

The video talks about the Crimean city of Simferopol. Work, medicine, entertainment, shopping.

  • Kerch. The city will eventually become a large logistics center, however, at the moment it is going through hard times.

View of the city of Kerch

  • Evpatoria. Resort city, rich architecture, beaches. The absence of industrial enterprises has a positive effect on the environment. The city has seasonal earnings, which means it will be difficult to find permanent work here.
  • Feodosia. The same city as Evpatoria. The resort is located on the shore of the bay. A city with developed light industry, winemaking, and fishing. Trade and tourism are developing well.
  • Bakhchisaray. A city with a population of up to 30 thousand people. It is the former capital of the Crimean Khanate and is located in the foothills, not far from Sevastopol. Agriculture is developed in the city. It is also known for many archaeological monuments, which are of historical value and a local landmark.
  • Saki. Resort town. The presence of a salt lake has a positive effect on the dynamics of development.
  • Alushta. In one word, “resort”. The city is located in a semi-ring of mountains. The work is mostly seasonal. Big rise in summer.
  • Dzhankoy. A city with developed infrastructure in the field of agriculture. On its territory there is an industrial complex for processing agricultural products and a plant for the production of necessary equipment.
  • Yalta. A fairly large resort city with a population of about 100 thousand people. The following areas are actively developing: tourism, trade, agriculture. The food industry and energy are less developed.
  • Sevastopol. A separate city with a separate history. A city with developed scientific and technical potential. The territory of a recreational center, as well as a center of culture and history. Good climate and working conditions.

How to choose a place to stay

You need to choose a place to move for permanent residence from the list of the largest settlements in Crimea. Where is it better?

  1. Simferopol. Capital of the Crimean Republic. Divided into 3 districts. In the central area there are industrial enterprises and residential areas. The other two districts contain park areas and attractions.
  2. Kerch. This city is planned to be turned into a logistics center, but at the moment it is going through bad times.
  3. Evpatoria. A resort town with many beautiful architectural structures and beach areas. There are no manufacturing enterprises in the city, which has a positive effect on nature. Seasonal work predominates here, therefore, it is very difficult to find employment on a permanent basis.
  4. Feodosia. Located on the coast of the bay. Has industrial enterprises. The winemaking and fishing industries are well developed. The trade and tourism sectors are in the process of development.
  5. Bakhchisaray. Less than thirty thousand citizens live here. The city was in the past the capital of the Crimean Khanate, located near the foothills, next to Sevastopol. The agricultural industry is developed. The city has many archaeological sites of historical value.
  6. Saki. A resort town famous for its salt lake.
  7. Alushta. Located in a mountain half-ring. Seasonal earnings predominate.
  8. Dzhankoy. The agricultural sector is developed. The city has a production center that processes agricultural products. There is an enterprise that produces technical devices.
  9. Yalta. A large resort city, home to approximately one hundred thousand citizens. Tourism, trade and agricultural sectors are developing rapidly. The energy sector and food production are underdeveloped.
  10. Sevastopol. It has scientific and technical potential, and is a cultural and historical center. There is a possibility of employment on a permanent basis.

Choosing a city is a serious and difficult task for those who are ready to settle in Crimea forever. The peninsula has typical tourist areas where it is difficult to find work and housing is unreasonably expensive. If we are talking about further employment, receiving social or medical services, or a child attending school or kindergarten, it is worth choosing a place of residence that has all these advantages.

Among the most popular Crimean cities for moving there are several names.

  • Simferopol. The official capital of the republic and its administrative-territorial center. The most attractive option in terms of infrastructure, job search or active social and cultural life. In the central part of the city there is industrial production, and there are also residential areas. On the outskirts you can find a quieter life, as well as attractions aimed at lovers of history and culture.
  • Kerch. The closest city to the Krasnodar Territory, which has the most advantageous geographical location - on the Black and Azov Seas. There are no problems with work here; the Kerch Bridge has already been built, connecting the peninsula with the mainland. Communication within the region will be fully established after the completion of the Tavrida federal highway. Housing is relatively inexpensive, the social infrastructure is well established, but for a rich cultural life you will have to go to the mainland.
  • Sevastopol. A city initially focused on providing bases for the Russian Navy. It is famous for its highest standard of living, but the excessive cost of housing and food. Problems with employment may also arise. But if you want to live in a beautiful, well-kept city on the coast, Sevastopol will be the best option.
  • Yalta. A city with high housing prices and developed tourism. In the summer, the abundance of visitors causes a lot of inconvenience to local residents, but otherwise life in Yalta has a lot of advantages. The best views of the sea, many attractions in the surrounding area, wild and well-maintained beaches are always nearby.
  • Evpatoria. A typical resort town with inexpensive housing and a developed health resort industry. In winter it is quite boring here, and finding a job is also very difficult. But there are also advantages - you can settle here in retirement and forget about the bustle of the metropolis.

In addition, you can choose other smaller cities of Crimea for moving.

  • Bakhchisarai with its green gardens and agricultural land. Sevastopol is located nearby and has a lot of attractions.
  • You can go to Feodosia to work in the tourism, fish farming, and wine industries. In general, the city has a rather interesting history and good prospects for development.
  • You can consider Alushta for moving.

General tips for people moving

As for the cost of real estate, work and living conditions, as you can see from the table, the spread is huge. It is impossible to give universal advice here; everyone must take into account their own capabilities and reconcile them with their desires. Unfortunately, Crimea is not only a sea and a warm climate, but also big problems that arise for those who come for permanent residence. They exist in all regions of the peninsula, and it does not matter which one you come to for permanent residence. What difficulties do residents of Crimea face?

Where in Crimea is better for work?

In big cities there is hope of getting a job in the civil service, as a doctor and a teacher. It will take a long time to look for vacancies on your own; the problem can be solved much faster with the help of acquaintances among local residents with a high social status. Official unemployment in Crimea is only 0.7–0.9%, but actual unemployment in winter exceeds 40%.

Military pensioners feel most confident in Crimea. They have enough security to guarantee a normal standard of living. And at the same time enjoy an excellent climate, swim in the sea and treat old diseases.

Advantages of living in Crimea

Let's list the main advantages of living in a subject of the Russian Federation, which primarily attract citizens.

  1. Warm climate. If we compare it with other regions of our Motherland, here it is much more comfortable. Winters in Crimea are warm, the air temperature rarely drops below zero. Summer is hot. It will be especially good here for those whose skin is prone to any allergic reactions and acne.
  2. Environmentally friendly. It is a well-known fact that industry in the region ceased to exist many years ago and only after joining Russia did it revive. This calm had a negative impact on the economic situation, but quite the opposite on the environment.
  3. Wonderful views. Anyone who has ever visited Crimea cannot remain indifferent to the beautiful landscapes, architectural monuments and gorgeous beaches.
  4. Development prospects. With the opening of the Crimean bridge, there is an improvement in the region’s infrastructure, which has a beneficial effect on the financial condition of its residents. There are also a huge number of branches of large enterprises open here, there are no problems with jobs.
  5. Russian language. Our language is spoken on the territory of the subject, so there will be no problems communicating with the local population.

Is it possible for residents of Crimea to travel to Europe?

If this issue does not concern you at first after moving, it will definitely become relevant in the future. If not for you, then for the children. Currently, it is very difficult for residents of Crimea to obtain a Schengen visa. All foreign passports of the Russian Federation issued on the peninsula have been declared invalid by the international community.

There are no consulates of European countries on the peninsula; you will have to go to the mainland to get a visa. And yet, it is very difficult for Crimeans to obtain permission; only a few countries give permission at the personal request of the consul. Prices for such services start from 600 euros. You can contact travel companies, some of them make fictitious registration in one of the regions of the Russian Federation, and then submit documents to the consulate. The cost of such services starts from 750 euros. In addition, one must understand that not only foreign, but also Russian legislation is being grossly violated.

It is extremely difficult for Crimeans to travel around Europe

Several Simferopol sketches

May, we came to Privoz to buy vegetables and fruits. I look - apples are on display, so beautiful, and next to it is a handwritten sign “Gardens of Bakhchisarai”. I stand, look at them, wrinkle my forehead. May, what kind of apples are there in Bakhchisarai? I ask, what really are apples from Bakhchisarai? The seller says no, they are imported. I ask, why is there a sign then? He says he just put it that way. Nobody, he says, asked before you, they took it and that’s it. I laugh, this is marketing, well done, contextual advertising.

During the four months of living in Crimea, complete strangers helped me park probably 7 times. There are a lot of cars in Simferopol, parking is difficult to find, and even if you find it, it is quite difficult to squeeze into this place. I don’t pretend to be a parking master, although I drive confidently. It’s easier for me to park the car further away, but conveniently, than to twist something there. But in Simferopol this trick does not work. There, even further away (in the center) you have to get out, otherwise they will evacuate. Ordinary passers-by or similar drivers helped me park with gestures, showing me whether I had enough space. In Tver, for almost 8 years of driving experience, only my husband and dad near the house helped me like that (and I don’t know why...).

About tow trucks, by the way. It's just a disaster. Local mafia, business. I don’t justify them, but I understand why this happens. The entire center is an inviolable zone; the “no parking” and “tow truck in service” signs stand on top of each other. Paid parking is expensive (not like in Moscow, of course) and very small.

There was a case. My husband came to the center in his work car, and I had to drive up in mine, hand him the child and go about my business. I’m driving through the center, looking for a place to park my car, and I notice my husband’s car parked near a pedestrian crossing. The husband was not in the car or near it. Next to the car, the tow truck had already opened its arms. I stop with an emergency light, run to the tow truck and ask not to take the car away, my husband also rushes to the car. A traffic police officer is standing there, listening to me and not giving the command to stop towing the car! The husband arrived just in time when his car was loaded onto a tow truck and the traffic police officer could have said “all clear,” but he didn’t. It was mean, disgusting and very ugly. It’s perfectly clear that for every towed car and for every hour in the impound lot, these employees get a pretty penny, but, damn it, no matter what your salary is, you always have to remain human.

Of course, all this is not done out of a good life. Salaries in Crimea are low and prices are higher than on the mainland. And how to live here? I don’t understand at all how, for example, young families buy housing. How can past students, who have no real work experience (and therefore no savings), buy a home? In Tver, a one-room apartment or a studio can be bought for 0.9 - 1.5 million. And this is in a new building (at the excavation or construction stage), the secondary one is even cheaper. What should they do in Simferopol? This is a mystery to me.

It’s a mystery to me why one would move to Simferopol at all, other than for work. Seriously, I don’t know whether to choose this city for a voluntary move... Real estate is expensive, food is expensive, the city is jammed with traffic jams. To the nearest sea (Nikolaevka, Frunze) - 40 minutes to an hour out of season, longer in season due to traffic jams. Under all these conditions, in my opinion, it is wiser to choose Sevastopol, because the prices are about the same, but at least there is a sea and a large number of attractions. All other cities in the summer turn into impossible tourist anthills, where everyone strives to rent out something, sell it and somehow make money off of tourists. And everyone has the same reason, just like those Simferopol traffic police officers. For many, this is the only way to earn some money.

Tulip Ball in Nikitsky Botanical Garden

In Crimea, in general, I am very strongly and very unpleasantly struck by this contrast between the unrealistically beautiful nature, powerful history and cultural sites and the extreme dilapidation of the infrastructure. On the one hand, Crimea is so beautiful, pleasant and healthy (sea, sun, fruits), but so underdeveloped, and all this “underdevelopment” is sold for quite a lot of money. I’m ready to pay 300 rubles for parking in the center of Moscow, even 600 rubles. leave it there, because there I understand what I’m paying for (a square meter of parking space in the center of the capital, well, you understand), but pay the same 300 rubles. for parking near the Swallow's Nest, where the only equipment in the parking lot is a rusty chain (and even the road is dirt, not asphalt!) - this is no longer an option.

And so in many ways. All this is understandable, but none of this fits into my system of values and habits. Therefore, no matter how beautiful and good Crimea is, it does not suit me.

In general, by the age of 30, having 10 moves and a lot of reconnaissance under your belt, you already begin to understand perfectly well what suits you and what does not. What you can agree with and what you can’t, what you can give up and what you can’t. I can't compromise my comfort. I do not have my own house or apartment, and therefore it is important for me to rent new and clean housing, and not live in someone else’s secondary housing, where the carpets and pipes have not been changed for decades. The difference in price is colossal: 2-room. apartment in a new building in Simferopol (unfurnished) - 26 thousand rubles, the same apartment in Tver - 17 thousand rubles.

Before leaving Simferopol for Tver, my husband rented an apartment for himself - a small one-room apartment in a private apartment building on the outskirts of the city (Dubki). New building, freshly renovated, everything you need is there - 18 thousand rubles. And upon arrival in Tver, I rented a two-room apartment for 17 thousand rubles. - a new house in a good area, recently renovated, individual heating, unfurnished.

Sea in Nikolaevka

A separate conversation concerns realtors, but, to be honest, I don’t even want to think about them. Having good experience in finding housing, all the last three times we found housing from the owners. The commission for the services of these comrades in Simferopol sometimes reaches 100%. Just imagine. You rent a rickety one-room apartment in an old house, where there is broken Soviet furniture, dirty floors, a completely dirty bathroom, stained wallpaper, etc., and pay 15-17 thousand rubles for it. per month + utilities (another 2-3 thousand rubles) and at a time you need to pay the realtor 100% of the rent for the month and for the last month of residence (usually everyone asks for this). That is, when you check in, you need to have 45-50 rubles on hand! Now let’s remember that you are choosing an apartment from the economy category, which means collecting such a sum at a time is very problematic, given your financial situation. If you are more confident on your feet and can afford a good two-room apartment with furniture (30 thousand rubles per month minimum), then upon moving in the one-time payment will be almost 100 thousand rubles. Your home will be quite elegant, but Simferopol will still remain outside your window.

By the way, in Simferopol there are still almost no traffic police officers on the roads, there are no cameras recording offenses and speeding (there are many cameras in Sevastopol). Employees stand in lured places complete with tow trucks in the center or during rush hour on the Kuibyshevsky ring. I remember very well the sobriety checks in Tver, which take place very often on weekends and holidays. We were in Simferopol for the May holidays - not a single employee, how can that be?

The roads are being built slowly. I observed the reconstruction of M10 in the Tver region, work there went on day and night. And here is an interchange near the new terminal of Simferopol airport, Saturday, day - no one. The same thing happens in Taurida. Sunday evening, the equipment glares in the rays of the setting sun, even if you paint a picture, there are no workers.

I don’t know what exactly is the reason for this, but I got the impression that many people there are having a fiesta. People live in a relaxed state, they don’t chase after some stupid show-off. It’s warm, it’s a day off—everything is by the sea, the city is empty.

Shops and offices are open until 18-00, Friday until 17-00. With a break for lunch. Convenience stores can be counted on one hand, and they specialize in alcohol, alas. The niche “supermarket near home” (like our Magnits and Pyaterochka) is not occupied at all. There are small shops that close their doors at 20:00. And maybe it’s not bad that people just live and don’t chase career growth or something else so ephemeral. As one of my friends said, “whoever understands life quits his job.” There really is something to this. They walk a lot, go to cafes a lot, and go to the sea. And just don’t tell me here that the locals don’t go to the sea, they just go anyway. And those who don’t travel lose a lot.

Kizil-Koba tract

A few words about the heat. Mainlanders are often afraid of the southern heat, saying that it is difficult to bear. I lived all summer in Crimea, in the steppe, dry continental Simferopol, and I can say with confidence that it was not difficult. Our apartment did not have air conditioning, and the heat was quite easy to bear. There were several days when the thermometer in the shade reached 35 degrees, but then, yes, it was a little hot. We finally had a real full summer in many years. Even if there were thunderstorms, after a couple of hours it was warm again, and the next day there was no trace of the puddles. What a great summer it is in the south!

Which city in Crimea is better to move to?

Each city in Crimea is unique in its own way. It is very difficult to determine which one is better to choose for moving. The best choice is to visit each of them, and only then decide.

The main transport hubs in Simferopol are: the central bus station, the eastern and western bus stations, as well as the railway station, from which you can get to any corner of Crimea.

Education and medicine

Naturally, those planning to move here for permanent residence are also concerned about other questions, for example, is it good for young mothers with children and pensioners to live in Crimea, what level of education and medicine are they at? In Crimea, after 2014, medical insurance policies were in force, under which medical services began to be provided free of charge. Now there are no long queues in Crimean hospitals; appointments can be made in advance using an electronic appointment.

A lot of new equipment is being purchased, specialists are being invited, existing departments in hospitals are being repaired, and new ones are opening. The Crimean ambulance fleet has been completely updated. In 2021, a Multidisciplinary Medical Center was opened on the territory of the Yalta City Hospital, which provides high-tech care and imported high-precision equipment.

More than 10,000 new places have recently appeared in kindergartens in Crimea, and it is planned to build 15 modular kindergartens. There are more than 100 higher educational institutions in Crimea. Universities that are unique in their teaching staff and scientific potential operate here. In Crimea there are also a number of colleges for training specialists in various fields, the predominant number of institutions are in the field of construction, medicine and the service sector. In Simferopol alone there are 26 technical schools and colleges.

About the peninsula

The Crimean peninsula was popular in the Russian Federation even during the existence of the empire. It was here that palaces were erected, large estates were built, and people vacationed for recreational purposes. The entire territory of Crimea is covered with medical and recreational institutions and holiday homes.

Thanks to the warm climate and natural beauty, many tourists travel to Crimea

If we give numbers, the peninsula is characterized by 867 kilometers of coastline, more than a thousand settlements, with access to the Azov and Black Seas, as well as a huge number of boarding houses and recreational facilities. Crimea will appeal to everyone who wants to treat their health, actively relax or lie on the seashore.

Climate map of the region

The peninsula is a tourist destination due to its pleasant weather conditions for beach holidays. If we talk about climate

Crimea for permanent residence, it is necessary to note a number of factors:

  • mild maritime climate without strong winds, which is ensured by high mountains and landscape features;
  • the average temperature in summer reaches +29 degrees, with a large number of sunny days, and in the cold seasons the figure drops to +2;
  • sub-zero temperatures are practically never observed on the peninsula.

Real estate prices in various regions of Crimea

Budget, mid-price and luxury real estate properties are available on the peninsula. The choice of region or city where it is best to live permanently in Crimea depends on personal desires and factors such as income level and availability of work. For an active life, it is recommended to move to Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta, and quiet cities are more suitable for families. The table shows the average cost of apartments in different cities.

Features of purchasing real estate in 2021

When buying real estate in Crimea, you need to know that transactions with objects located within 100 meters from the coastline are prohibited by law. This applies to both individuals and businesses.

There is now a significant increase in property values

The market is currently in an unstable state, as there is a significant increase in the cost per square meter. Real estate experts say the situation should stabilize before the end of 2021. After this, available properties will appear at reasonable prices.

Education and medicine

Before going to the peninsula, you need to familiarize yourself with the standard of living in Crimea. The quality of medical services and education testify to how comfortable it is for children, the younger generation and retirees.

Since 2014, free medical care has been available under the insurance policy. A website has also been implemented for electronic appointments with a doctor, so there is no longer any need to stand in queues outside the office.

Hospitals are equipped with new modern equipment, and experienced specialists are hired.

In the case of kindergartens and schools, there is a gradual improvement. There are more than 100 universities, 26 technical schools and colleges in Crimea. It is also planned to build more than 15 kindergartens, and the number of places for children has increased by 10,000.

How to move to Crimea for permanent residence from Russia?

In 2014, Crimea was officially annexed by Russia, which means moving to the peninsula is extremely easy. Russians can live in Crimea legally with a passport of a Russian citizen. Suitcases, a plane ticket, a couple of hours of flight - and you are in Crimea. Of course, when changing your place of residence, you also need to change your registration. You will also have to take care of the documents you will need when moving:

  • General passport;
  • SNILS;
  • Medical policy;
  • Educational diplomas;
  • Military ID (if available);
  • Certificates – about marriage (divorce), about the birth of children;
  • Pension certificate (if available);
  • Driver license.

If you have housing in Crimea, you will need a document of ownership. If there is no real estate, you will need a residential lease agreement. These documents are needed to obtain registration or temporary registration in Crimea. If you are going to Crimea to visit relatives, you can register with them. This is a convenient and quick option, but it requires the written consent of all homeowners. When your child is born, he will be registered at your registration address without asking the consent of the homeowners.

Important: men who have a military ID in their hands must contact the military commissariat to register it within two weeks after moving.

Legal side of the issue

Since 2014, Crimea has become a full-fledged subject of the Russian Federation and legally moving is no different from changing your place of residence from one to any other region of the country. The citizen will need to have with him:

  • SNILS;
  • medical insurance;
  • identification document - passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

The specified list of documents is enough to become a new resident of the peninsula. However, simply moving with your things and documents is not enough. Registration will be required, and it will be temporary to begin with. If it is available, the task of finding employment or enrolling a child in a school or preschool educational institution is simplified.

To obtain registration, you must contact the territorial office of the Main Department of Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a package of documents, including:

  • passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
  • title documents for housing - a certificate of ownership or a lease/social tenancy agreement;

    Sample apartment rental agreement

  • written permission from the property owner to register a new tenant - if we are talking about a lease agreement.

Important! After receiving registration, you should transfer pension payments to your new place of residence, and also visit the military commissariat.

How to move to Crimea for permanent residence?

Moving to Crimea for permanent residence has not been particularly difficult for Russians since 2014. You just need to choose a city and housing that is suitable for you, register for registration and transport your things.

You will have to move by road, since there are no railway connections with other regions of Russia yet.

How can foreign citizens move to Crimea for permanent residence? You need to find housing and register at your place of residence. To obtain a temporary residence permit, you will need to contact the Federal Migration Service (FMS) and submit an application.

Without any problems, only those who have close relatives living in Crimea and who have Russian citizenship (husband, wife, father, mother, child) receive a temporary residence permit.

When deciding to issue a temporary residence permit (TRP) in Crimea, many factors are taken into account: age, education, criminal record, availability of work and housing in Crimea, etc.

The quota for issuing permits is small, so reviews from those who have moved indicate that it is very difficult to obtain a temporary residence permit. If you are lucky and have received a temporary residence permit, then in a few years you will be able to obtain a residence permit, and later, if desired, citizenship. To do this, you will need to confirm your regular income or the availability of funds in your bank account every year.

Real estate prices in various regions of Crimea

Important information for those planning to move to a permanent place of residence.

When planning your move, you need to keep in mind that quite a lot of money will be spent on transportation costs.

As for remuneration, the average salary ranges from 15–20 thousand rubles, but you will have to look for that too. Previously operating Ukrainian companies have moved to the mainland, while Russian companies are in no hurry to develop the peninsula, fearing international sanctions. One gets the impression that the state-owned Sberbank of Russia does not comply with the provisions of the law and the Constitution on the entry of Crimea into Russia and does not open its branches on the peninsula. What can we say about other companies? Those who want a job will find work in any case, if not in the city, then in the countryside. It is much easier to work in resort towns, but only during the season.

Read interesting information in the article - “Where is Russia in terms of living standards?”

Problems

The cities described above are the main ones for the possibility of moving. When choosing a city, you should consider the following questions:

  • Availability and accessibility of work. Despite the general political situation, the Crimean Peninsula has a sufficient number of jobs. Wages are another matter. According to official data, the average salary is within 24 thousand rubles. However, according to people’s reviews, salaries do not go beyond 15-20 thousand rubles. Many data vary by region, so the range may be greater. Looking at job search sites, you can see other figures that reach a level of 50 thousand rubles and above, with the average level being 20-25 thousand rubles.

The video talks about work in Crimea

  • Search for housing. The affordability of housing is also a stumbling block, this is especially pronounced in the summer seasons - it's time for vacations. At this time, it is profitable to rent apartments, houses, rooms and attics on a daily basis. Judging by the reviews, the local population is not concerned about retaining regular customers who pay consistently. They earn enough from vacationers during the holiday season to survive the “off-season” time. Renting housing can start from amounts of 7 thousand rubles. per month and reach 5 thousand rubles. per day or more. Amounts are determined based on the location of housing, accessibility to the sea, the development of transport infrastructure and, of course, the season.

Video about housing and food prices.

  • Moving. A considerable share of the money will be spent on moving from the old house itself, which means transportation costs. There is no direct communication through the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, you will have to take a detour. This means travel time will increase, transportation costs will rise, and don’t forget about the ferry crossing, which closes during storms and you will have to wait for it to open.

If your goal is to move to Crimea for permanent residence, then you should think about buying an apartment, house or other affordable and suitable housing on the peninsula. This will solve many issues at the initial stage of moving. Being evicted from a rented apartment in the middle of the summer season is not a very pleasant prospect. The cost of housing also depends on the city and region of location. If you plan to buy a plot of land, then the amounts start from 60 thousand rubles. for a hundred and up to... there are no limits here. The cost of the apartment is from 55 thousand rubles. per m2.

Don’t forget that no one owes you anything, which means that when renting housing, you should negotiate the conditions quite meticulously. It is necessary to draw up a rental agreement, which specifies all the agreed living conditions (amount of monthly payment, payment of utilities, length of stay, possibility of extension, responsibility of the parties, etc.). It may be worth consulting with a lawyer about this matter to avoid getting into an unpleasant situation.

Where is the best place to live in Crimea?

Despite the fact that the peninsula has a small territory, living conditions in different parts of it differ radically. First of all, this concerns the climate, real estate prices, standard of living, and distance from the sea.

Radiant.

First, you need to decide on the climate zone. As I wrote earlier, the whole of Crimea can be divided into 3 climatic zones:

  1. Steppe. It has hot, dry summers and wet, often cool winters.
  2. Mountain. Humid warm summers and damp cool winters
  3. Yuzhnoberezhny. Hot dry summers and warm wet winters

Which one suits you best? In general, to understand where it is best for you to live in Crimea, you need to live here at least a little. And preferably not in the summer (everywhere is good in the summer), but in the winter. And not in just one city, but in several. Here you can highlight 3 places that need to be visited - these are Kerch (or Feodosia), Sevastopol (Yalta, Alushta), Evpatoria. That. you can at least roughly decide on your preferred region of residence.

It is better to go “to view” by car. It will be difficult here without her. Especially if you are traveling with children. You need to carefully prepare for a trip with children. I wrote how to do this here.

The next important factor is the cost of housing. It can vary significantly from region to region. In Evpatoria and Feodosia, housing is cheaper. In 2021, the situation is such that purchasing an apartment or house in the city is quite possible. The most expensive real estate offers in Sevastopol, Yalta, Alushta. This region is traditionally considered the most favorable for living in Crimea. Plus the proximity to the sea, plus the climate. Hence the prices are like phone numbers. But there are options here too. Let’s say, if it’s not important for you to live right 5 minutes from the sea, then you can consider villages in the suburbs of Simferopol. It's about 25-30 minutes by car to the sea. There you will not have sea views, but you will have a large city nearby, and the cost of land is 4 times cheaper than in the suburbs of Alushta or Yalta.

This is the beauty that posed for us.

For clarity, I have collected all the prices in a table. Data as of June 2021. Here I deliberately do not take into account crazy offers of 50-100 million per plot. This is not serious! Such offers do exist, but, in my opinion, sellers’ expectations are too high. Well, let's wish them a successful sale

Average real estate prices in Crimean cities for June 2019

In 2021, analysts predict a decrease in real estate prices in Crimea. The transition of the peninsula to the Russian Federation caused a terrible stir and, in connection with this, a crazy rise in prices. Now everything has started to decline. Well, I would like to hope that they will be right. In general, I have already noticed a slight drop in prices. Compared to what it was like back in the winter, now purchasing something in Crimea seems more realistic.

For ourselves, we limited the search location to the villages of Luchistoye and Izobilnoye closest to Alushta for the following reasons:

  1. Close to Alushta and the sea. 5-10 minutes by car to the city, you can take your children to clubs and sections if you wish.
  2. There is a school and kindergarten in the villages, so you don’t have to travel somewhere far every day. This is actually a big plus. Anyone who has tried to transport a child every day by car or, even more interestingly, by public transport, will understand me.
  3. Gas, water, electricity, Internet. These villages have all the necessary communications. There are other villages nearby. But in some places there is no gas, in others there is no electricity, in others there are interruptions in water supply.
  4. Not far from Simferopol. 30-35 minutes by car is not a distance for us. Therefore, if there is a need to go to the city (shops, entertainment venues, etc.), this will not be a big problem. On the other hand, we don’t need all these benefits of civilization right next door. Muscovites don’t go to the Tretyakov Gallery, but we, living in Chelyabinsk in the very center, with three theaters, museums, large shopping centers, cinemas nearby, were last there...

I would also like to include convenient transport interchange here. The Simferopol-Yalta highway passes through the village of Izobilnoye, so you can even get to it by trolleybus. To reach Radiant, however, for now it’s only by car or regular bus. The road directly from the highway is short, but very busy. They promise to do it in the near future, let's hope they are not lying.

Transport interchange is a very big plus, since you can get to Simferopol without any problems.

Why do you need to go there? Yes, even to the same Auchan or to the Privoz market. Prices in resort towns for everything sometimes go through the roof. Take, for example, Yalta. The same products can be 2-3 times more expensive, and at a distance of 60-70 km, just to buy something to eat, you won’t run over every time.

  1. It's not hot here, but comfortable. After all, the mountains are nearby. The average temperature is 2-3 degrees lower than in Alushta itself. The city is stuffy in the summer, especially if you live in an apartment. Air conditioning will save you, but then the children will constantly get sick.
  2. There are no traffic jams, and you don't have to “have a good time” while getting somewhere.

Of course, you will have your own criteria for choosing a place to move. Determine the most important of them, and then decide how to move to Crimea for permanent residence.

Evpatoria - a resort for life

The climate of Evpatoria is rated as one of the most favorable in all of Europe. To many it will seem like a real dream. There are almost 2 and a half thousand hours of sunshine at the resort. In summer the temperature does not exceed 25°C, in winter it can drop to 0°C. During the winter months, precipitation is rare, but strong winds can blow. They are a consequence of the geographical location of the city. Because of this, it is exposed to winds in all directions. However, in the summer, those who decide to stay here for permanent residence will only be disturbed by a light sea breeze. Beach lovers are in for some not-so-good news: every year the coastline becomes smaller due to regular sand mining. The resort has no other environmental problems.

Moving for permanent residence to Evpatoria is attractive due to affordable real estate. The highest price tag remains at 70 thousand dollars for a two-room apartment. A one-room apartment can be bought for 50 thousand dollars. They prefer to invest in the center, where there are 5- and 9-story buildings. Those who prefer well-established infrastructure and an abundance of shops like to live in the center. In search of new buildings, you should go to the Aviagorodki microdistrict (5 and 29). Here a one-room apartment costs at least 30 thousand dollars.

Evpatoria keeps its mark in terms of improvement. Comprehensive landscaping produces positive results that are very popular with the local population. The city administration wants to advance to the European level, but this is still far away. Bad roads and problematic drains are still quite common. There are not enough lampposts and trash cans in the courtyards, but the mayor's office takes care of bicycle parking and paths for cyclists.

Evpatoria is no exception among the resorts where it is difficult to find work. City residents themselves often experience difficulties in finding jobs. Life in Evpatoria itself is seasonal, as is earnings. The best indicators are considered to be an income of $600 per month, and the average monthly can be $350. You can get a job at a bakery or local dairy. Both earn around $200–250 a month. The most promising vacancies are published in the Evpatoria sea passenger and commercial port. Here you can start building a career and move on to Russian or European ports.

Simferopol is an attractive city for permanent residence

The very name of the city invites you to move. He seems pathetic and prominent. The climate of Simferopol is closer to mountainous. Temperatures can exceed 25°C in summer and are unlikely to drop below 0°C in winter. What can be said for sure about Simferopol is that the city is sunny. There are almost 2 and a half thousand hours of sunshine per year. It can be very windy, but otherwise the climate is comfortable.

The average cost per square meter starts from 72 thousand rubles. Let us remind you that Simferopol is the capital of Crimea, so in the future its real estate may rise in price even more. While there is no construction boom, apartments are sold mainly in the old stock. A two-room apartment can cost 40 thousand dollars. It is impossible to find prestigious housing, because in fact it still doesn’t exist. The most expensive apartments are located in the city center.

Despite the position of the capital, Simferopol infrastructure requires significant improvements. Many streets are in need of major repairs, and the road surface also leaves much to be desired. But traffic jams are rarely observed in Simferopol. All this thanks to a well-organized movement.

In connection with the opening of a large number of bank branches in Simferopol, financiers, credit experts and other employees from the banking sector are required. Recently, many law firms have emerged. They also lack staff. The average salary in Simferopol is close to $450. There is a real chance of employment in factories. There are quite a lot of them in Simferopol:

  • cognac;
  • vodka;
  • beer and soft drink plant;
  • dairy;
  • pasta factory;
  • bread;
  • confectionery factory.

Not far from the factory area there is a warehouse, workers are also constantly hired there, so if you want to live in Simferopol, then there will definitely be no problems with work, but you need to take into account that at the start the salary ranges from 250 to 300 dollars. The hardest thing is for doctors and teachers employed in budgetary organizations. According to Simferopol residents, life in the city is calm due to the absence of crime. But it's best to avoid the infamous Gagarinsky Park. Robberies often occur there. In general, Simferopol is safe for permanent residence.

Job Opportunities

In addition to the main idea of moving, it is advised to consider developing your own business, which will provide financial support. Even the indigenous people, not to mention the newcomers, do not have high hopes for work. As ideas for your own business, you can consider: auto repair shops, construction, repairs, furniture assembly.

A new generation of entrepreneurs is occupying available positions in local agricultural or industrial sectors. Industry is represented in the form of light industry, for example, tailoring. Heavy industry is poorly represented or not represented at all.

Since the Crimean Peninsula is a developing region, many future entrepreneurs have their cards in their hands. According to reviews from tourists or other people, the local population does not bother themselves much with work, which means they do not care much about the development of the peninsula as such. According to the indigenous population, there is generally less work. Many Ukrainian companies have closed their branches. At the same time, they took out everything they could, leaving the former workers to their own devices, or offering to move to the territory of Ukraine and continue working there for the benefit of the companies. Russian companies are also in no hurry to enter the territory of Crimea and ensure its stable development. This means that only local firms will be available for job searches.

Since the peninsula has a mild climate, most of the work will be related to the development of agriculture. Industry is underdeveloped throughout the region, which means there will not be many jobs available in this area. The predominant professions are managers and sales people. Perhaps representatives of the management level will also be able to find work as regional managers or development managers. Work related to logistics is also increasingly developing in the Crimea. In general, you can find work on the peninsula if you want. Especially during the holiday season, a sufficient number of cooks, administrators, maids and animators are required. Another thing is that the level of salaries may not even be enough to satisfy your own needs, not to mention your family, which means it’s worth keeping this in mind.

Crimea is now at the stage of small construction. The priority direction for the near future on the peninsula is the construction of a bridge that will connect Crimea across the Kerch Strait and the Russian mainland. In this case, the city of Kerch will receive an additional impetus for development. The main routes of communication with all cities of Crimea will go through it. Moreover, from official data it is known that the peninsula has potential in terms of energy, so to speak, for the prospects for future development.
