Consulate of France in Moscow
The first-come-first-serve principle is observed only in certain representative offices. In addition to Moscow, this is relevant for Yekaterinburg, where there is no advance registration at all. Applicants living in the regions can simplify their task and use the services of intermediaries represented by visa centers. Such interaction requires additional payment, but eliminates the need to travel to the embassy and saves a lot of time. In addition, professionals will ensure that the paperwork is filled out correctly in order to virtually eliminate the possibility of a negative decision on the application.
For residents of remote regions, the waiting time for a response can reach 30 days. This is due to the lengthy transfer of papers to the head office for subsequent consideration.
Consulate of France in Moscow - official website
The French Consulate in Moscow, through its official website, has determined the regulatory deadlines and regulations for issuing a visa. It is especially important to fill out the visa application form. It is necessary to eliminate the possibility of errors that could cause a refusal. All information must be provided in French or English. Remember that the form does not contain interlinear translations in Russian, so you will have to seek help from a translator or a visa center employee. The tourist’s intentions must have a convincing and reasoned justification that will not raise doubts among the staff of the French embassy.
The purposes of the trip must be documented:
- confirmation of a tour reservation, an official letter of admission to one of the French universities, a guest invitation, an invitation to a conference or sporting event.
- The financial side of the issue cannot be ignored. A good reason for refusing a visa is that the foreigner’s income is below 20,000 rubles.
- pensioners supplement the set of documents with an original and a copy of a pension certificate, and the unemployed - with an official sponsorship letter from a close relative who is willing to pay for the trip.
