Which passport pages need to be copied to obtain a passport?

What pages are copies taken from a civil passport?

According to the norms and rules of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, in order to obtain a foreign passport from a civil passport, it is necessary to make copies of all pages on which there is data. Blank pages do not need to be copied.

When applying for a foreign passport, a copy of the second page of the civil passport of the Russian Federation must be made, which contains the following information:

  • The name of the authority that issued the identity card.
  • Date of issue.
  • Code of the department that issued the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation.
  • Signature of the ID card holder.
  • Signature of the head of the unit who issued the document.

The first page with a spread with the emblem of the Russian Federation is not copied.

A copy of the third page is made, because the personal data of the owner of the identity card is indicated there: last name, first name, patronymic, gender, date and place of birth. There is a photo on this page.

The fourth page is usually not copied because no marks are made on it.

To obtain a foreign passport, it is important to make copies of the following pages: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, since they are usually marked with registration marks of the owner of the identity card. You only need to make copies of those pages that contain them.

Until December 31, 2014, photos of children under 14 years old were pasted onto page 12 of the Russian civil passport. This was necessary to transport children to the Kaliningrad region without a foreign passport. Today it will not be possible to transport a child in this way.

According to the new rules and regulations, all children are required to have their own foreign passport. But if a person still has a pasted photo, then it is better to make a copy of this page.

If the applicant is undergoing compulsory military service, when applying for a foreign passport, he is obliged to make a photocopy of page 13 of the document, where a mark on military duty is affixed.

If a person entered into a marriage, then he makes a photocopy of pages 14 and 15. If the applicant has children, then copies of pages 16 and 17 are needed, where their personal data is indicated and there is a stamp certifying their Russian citizenship.

On page 18 of a civil passport, data regarding the blood type and Rh factor of the owner is usually entered. This information is entered at the request of the person. On page 18 the owner’s TIN may be indicated.

It is not necessary to make a copy of this page, even if it has marks.

Page 19 is intended for marks confirming the receipt of identity documents outside of Russia. It usually contains information regarding the issuance of a foreign passport (if it was carried out). If this page is complete, you must make a photocopy of it.

There is no need to make a copy of the spread

Metro residence permit taxes and information

This need arose due to the fact that many citizens, having become the holder of permanent status, left Russian borders for permanent residence in some other state, while enjoying the privileges of a legal resident of two countries at once.

Such foreign citizens include citizens of the Republic of Belarus, as well as citizens of Turkmenistan and stateless persons moving from Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation in accordance with the Agreement between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on regulating the resettlement process and protecting the rights of migrants and owning residential property on the territory of the Russian Federation room.

What pages are copies taken from a foreign passport?

Today, most often in various structures they ask to photocopy all pages of a foreign passport. This is due to the fact that if a person was previously denied entry into any foreign country or was deported from there, then the corresponding mark can appear on any page of the document.

If there is a deportation mark, then the person may have problems obtaining a visa to enter other countries. This is especially true for the countries of the European Union.

If you were previously refused or deported to one of the EU states, then it will be extremely difficult to apply for a Schengen visa again, but to another EU country.

Mandatory for copying is the installation (first) page of the foreign passport, on which the person’s last name and first name are indicated, and his photograph is located.

Copy of documents: what pages will be required?

In the list of documents for a foreign passport, in addition to the originals themselves, the presentation of their copies is provided. But what exactly should you copy? Are there enough pages with last name and place of registration?

Practice shows that FMS specialists require the entire passport . That is, when thinking about which pages to copy, know that you need to provide copies of all pages, regardless of whether there is any entry there or not. The same rule applies to military ID.

The original civil passport is presented along with all documents for review only. No one will take him away even temporarily.

When submitting an application, a FMS employee checks it with the provided copy and returns it back to the owner. I would like to mention that by following the link you can learn how to apply for a passport online, because this will help save your time and simplify the procedure.

Differences between old and new passports: what are the differences?

As you already understand, in Russia there are two types of passports for traveling abroad. Let's figure out what is their difference.

Old-style international passport (generation) valid for 5 years

Look at the spread and cover of the document

New international passport (generation) valid for 10 years

Here is his appearance and first spread

Differences

On the front cover:

  • Inscriptions: “passport” and “Russian Federation” in two languages. In the old one - only in Russian
  • There at the very bottom of the new one there is an icon

On the spread of the first page:

  • Designation "RUS" in the lower right corner
  • Inscription: “Russian Federation” in two languages
  • The page is made of plastic rather than laminated paper

On the second page of the spread:

  • Emblem in the upper right corner
  • The series starts at 70, and in the old one – 62-64
  • The photo is lasered, not pasted on.
  • The new one does not have a round hologram
  • There is no ornament on the left edge of the photo
  • And most importantly, a special computer chip is sewn into it. This chip contains all the information about the owner and his biometric data.

The old sample is issued for a period of 5 years. New – for 10 years.

Here they look for the most profitable and cheap tours to any corner of the planet

The characteristic differences between both foreign passports are:

  • A photo with your biometrics, which can only be taken in a special booth
  • The cost of the new state duty has doubled
  • Children must obtain separate passports. Previously, it was allowed to include parents in the passport
  • You can already receive a paper one within a month, but a new one will have to wait up to four months (except for the Migration Service, it is processed in Moscow at Gosznak)
  • By the way, some EU countries and the USA have introduced restrictions on entry into the country with a passport without biometrics

Is it dangerous to send a digital copy of documents?

You should be aware that any document that ends up on the Internet can be used by scammers. When sending your passport, you should make sure that the recipient has a good reputation. Anyone can buy electronic scanned versions of passports. But why is this necessary?

Using such a document, fraudsters can very easily apply for a quick loan or consumer loan, buy a SIM card and talk on credit, and register a company. But you need to understand that this is only possible with the assistance of an unscrupulous employee at the tax office, a telephone operator or a bank employee. And such an employee can be found in any company where you leave your documents without any problems.

The main identification document of a citizen - a passport - can be required in many situations. However, we are not always able to provide this document in person and in the original. But thanks to modern technologies, we can always quickly send a high-quality “photo” of a passport, for example, by email. All you need to do is make a scan of your passport, i.e. scan it on a special device (scanner) to obtain a digital photograph of the required page of the ID card.
