China's migration map includes 2 parts. One is needed upon arrival in China (Arrival card), the second - at the time of departure (Departure card). It is more convenient for transit passengers to fill out both parts at once, since the data is almost identical, with the exception of the date and flight number.
All foreigners fill out the card. Difficulties may arise for those who do not know English well. The form duplicates the field names in two languages – English and Chinese. Therefore, it makes sense to familiarize yourself with the translation into Russian in advance, or fill it out at home, so that you can then simply transfer the information to the appropriate fields of the received form.
Where to get a China migration card
When traveling by plane, you can receive a form immediately on board. It is advisable to have a ballpoint pen with you so as not to contact your neighbors. Most of the data is copied from the foreign passport. If the card was not issued on board, you can pick it up at the arrival airport before passport control.
It's hard to miss the counter with forms - it's crowded with tourists who also need to register their arrival in the country by filling out a migration card when entering China.
“Surprises” of filling out entry documentation
When entering China, each guest of this state must fill out an immigration card. All inscriptions in the documents are made in two languages: Chinese and English.
The papers are issued to visitors to the country on board the aircraft. Considering the duration of the flight, as a rule, there is a sufficient time period to fill them. On the plane, air passengers are given a special form for this.
Migration cards are filled out for every citizen of any country in the world who enters the territory of the Middle Kingdom. An important condition for a successful trip is filling out the migration card for children according to all the rules.
Currently, you can fill out the required China arrival/departure card not only directly on board the plane. This can also be done a little later, before departure and passport control at the airport in China, when the traveler has already arrived in this country.
You must enter information into this document on the basis of your foreign passport and the visa you received before traveling to China. The right side of the completed materials will be transferred to representatives of the migration service. You will need to part with it when crossing the border, at the moment you exit the airliner. It is required to enter China. The left part remains with the guest of the country; it will be needed during the return. This half of the immigration documents must be carefully stored. Without it, problems will arise for those leaving the Celestial Empire.
A Departure card China card, the peculiarity of which is that the fields are completely identical to those that the traveler had already filled out at the time of arrival. These cards are filled out for the migration control service operating in this state, they are recognized by the name China's Migration Police.

Typical mistakes when filling out
If a foreigner behaves politely and smiles, the control officers will forgive his blots and mistakes. But you shouldn’t count on 100% loyalty; it’s better to carefully fill out the information from your passport, visa, and ticket. The main errors are related to the incorrectly indicated date of birth due to the priority writing of the year, which is unusual.
Also, some people incorrectly enter the address in China where they will live and indicate a short period of stay. Blots and strikethroughs are not allowed. Capital letters and Latin font are the main conditions. To avoid mistakes in filling out the migration card to China, you should print out the sample form at home.
Migration card
Getting to know the region begins on the plane. Despite visa-free entry, all foreigners must fill out the Hong Kong Arrival Card, a form for which is handed out during the flight. The card contains information about the foreigner, including his full name, passport details, flight number, residential address in Hong Kong, and date of arrival.
The form must be filled out for each travel participant. If a child who has his own international passport is taking part in the trip, the card for him is also filled out. The information is entered in Latin without errors or blots in full accordance with the data specified in the foreign passport. A sample map is shown in the figure to the right.
When checking documents, the border service officer takes one part of the card for himself and leaves the second to the foreigner. We recommend saving it until the end of your trip. When departing from Hong Kong, all foreigners fill out a similar Departure Card Hong Kong, the columns of which are similar to the Arrival Card.
What to do in case of loss
Unlike the migration card upon entry, the Departure card China is only needed for exit, so even if it is lost, nothing bad will happen. Before going through customs control on the day of departure, take a blank form from the counter and fill it out with your data. You will only need the half that is required for departure.
Recovery
There is no point in restoring a migration card that is kept for departure - it is filled out on the day of departure at the border control point.
