Real numbers and salary calculations
The state has long begun to carry out work to increase salaries for government agencies. Energy workers were not spared either.
Since the profession is considered important and necessary, and also requires special qualifications and attention to detail, it is unrealistic to bypass it and not pay well. To be fair, wages should be high in all professions.
As a rule, when it comes to salary increases, people are presented exclusively with promises. However, in our case it comes down to indexing. Energy workers were also not spared empty promises. The state planned to increase wages back in 2014. They are still dragging their feet on this.
And if they did raise it, it would be by a very small amount, which is almost unnoticeable. Therefore, workers in this field have not yet been able to experience the joy of life. New promises have arrived. Some have said that fees could increase by 15 percent from June 2021. And, as always, nothing has changed. This situation also existed in 2017.
general Statistics
According to statistical reports, the average salary of employees at Gazprom in 2015 is about 110 thousand rubles. This is almost 3.5 times more than the average monthly income of Russians. If we delve deeper into history, we find out that the average earnings of Gazprom employees in 2012 were 95,000 rubles, and in 2008 – 44,000 rubles. That is, even before it significantly exceeded the average salary in the country.
But average earnings are calculated by dividing the total income of all employees by the total number of employees. And Gazprom’s staff includes both top managers who earn astronomical sums and cleaners who receive relatively modest salaries. We would be interested to know how much employees of the gas monopolist earn in specific positions.
Allowances and benefits
The basic and fixed salary of Gazprom employees is not their final income. Employees of this company receive all kinds of allowances, bonuses and bonuses for good work.
Thus, additional payments are provided for the working staff in the amount of 50% of the fixed monthly salary, and the management team receives 75% of their salary as bonus payments. The company also provides quarterly bonus payments in the amount of the average monthly salary and payments for holidays (the bonus amount varies from 80 to 130% of the average monthly salary, depending on the holiday).
Also, all employees of the joint-stock company receive the so-called 13th salary.
The thirteenth salary depends on many factors, but first of all, the length of service and length of service of the employee at Gazprom are taken into account. On average, 13 salaries range from 150 to 300% of a person’s average monthly salary.
Miller's income in 2019-2020
What is Alexey Miller's salary today, in 2021? Unfortunately, this information still remains a mystery to the public. And the reason for this is the fact that the government apparatus, putting forward demands for state-owned companies to disclose the income of their own board members, did not include joint-stock companies, which is Gazprom, in the list. These data had to be submitted to the government by companies, but they were not obliged to disclose them to citizens and in the media.
There is a presidential decree introduced two years ago, in 2017, which provides for the publication of income information for the heads of large state-owned companies in order to prevent corruption. It was to him that the media representatives appealed. Many of the government organizations provided complete information on the personal salaries of management personnel and the income of the chief accountant. But such corporations as Russian Railways, Rosneft and Gazprom flatly refused to make them public. Journalists received several statements on this matter:
- the director of Rosneft commented on these actions as a fundamental decision, since the said law simply does not apply to these corporations. According to the legislative wording, only companies created by federal laws are required to publish their own declarations, and none of the joint-stock companies should simply make internal information public;
- Natalya Timakova, who is the government's press secretary, explained that this statement really has a basis in reality. Commercial companies are not required to publicize their own earnings. If this happened before, the firms did it on their own initiative. Gazprom is not a state-owned enterprise, despite the fact that they receive money from the country’s budget, and the chairmen of the board of these organizations cannot be called government employees, therefore they should not disclose their own income to the general public, along with other joint-stock companies;
- This position is confirmed by Andrey Zhvirblis, who holds the post of Deputy General Director of Transparency International Russia. In his note, he notes the fact that in the letter of petition from the government apparatus there are requirements for commercial companies to provide information on income to the state, but they can publish this data at their own discretion. This clarification was an addition to the letter, since officials for a long time could not reach a consensus on this point, but ultimately came to a compromise and clarified this aspect for commercial organizations.
Despite this, Gazprom still provides some official data. Company representatives tell the media that the annual income of Chairman of the Board Alexey Miller is now approximately $1.4 million. The corporation allocates about $37 million to pay 76 top managers throughout the year. It is difficult to judge how accurate this information is.

If we compare it with salaries in such professions as a nurse or a gas station operator in Moscow or St. Petersburg (about 30,000 rubles), then an oil shift worker no longer seems like such a millionaire. In addition, shift work takes away health and requires physical and emotional costs.
Salary of Gazprom employees

The region where workers work also plays a huge role. In more developed and larger cities, wages are higher than in small subsidiaries of a joint stock company. The general level of salaries in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan.

Work at Gazprom. Salary
It is clear that people working in the field of extraction, processing and distribution of energy resources cannot earn little money a priori, so comparing their incomes with the salaries of public sector employees is pointless. An engineer’s salary here will be many times higher than that of his colleague in another company.
The attractiveness of employment in one of the largest gas corporations in the world is determined, first of all, by high material income and social guarantees. According to statistics, every third Russian would dream of working for Gazprom, and the position is not particularly important.
The salary calculation system installed in 2013 will be in effect until 2021. According to it, Gazprom has the highest salaries in Russia. An engineer's salary varies from 37,500 to 70,000 rubles. A novice specialist does not earn as much as people assume. But most of the salary consists of bonuses, bonuses and other additional payments.
What is the monthly income of corporate employees?
How much do oil workers earn?
Of course, since an oil and gas industry enterprise is a corporation and employs many people (the number of employees of the corporation reaches 400 thousand people), employee salaries vary depending on the rank and functions of the employee. One of the first persons of the large-scale enterprise is Alexey Miller, chairman of the board, economist, and statesman. The salary of the head of the board is the highest in the corporation. Alexey Miller's annual income as head of the gas company in 2008 was $5.3 million. There are also shareholders of a grandiose enterprise who receive dividends.
Income of corporation employees of various professions:
- Category IV fishing personnel for 160 workers. hours - from 80 thousand rubles (for a month of shift work, a worker receives twice that amount);

- The secretary's salary is from 120 thousand rubles per month.
It is worth paying attention to the fact that the average salary of a corporate manager can reach 300 thousand dollars.
Of course, the size of a specialist’s salary depends on the region of the country where he works. Thus, in a region with a high standard of living, the salary is higher than in the outback. The cost of living in different regions of the country varies significantly, and therefore it is not worth talking about exact correspondence and certain amounts of money earned.
We can only talk about the approximate income of a gas industry worker. The largest incomes are observed among the corporation's capital employees, since the largest number of significant facilities and main offices are concentrated in Moscow. In addition, the standard of living in Moscow is significantly higher than, for example, in Ufa. It is worth noting that 50 thousand rubles in these cities are perceived differently and have different meanings for the people living in them.
If you are interested in this company, then we have prepared material for you about how Gazprom developed, its ups and downs, and what it is now.

What conditions does OJSC Gazprom offer for its employees?
Today, the mortgage of this financial business shark is recognized as one of the most favorable for the client in terms of its terms. The employee is guaranteed not only a simplified loan processing system, but also significant concessions. For starters, this is a reduced interest rate.
The Corporation undertakes to reduce the cost of paying commissions for the use of borrowed funds by 7%. That is, if a mortgage loan is issued at a 20% rate, then in fact you will only need to overpay 13%.
In situations where the borrower wants to exercise the opportunity to purchase housing being built with the participation of the group, the conditions become even more attractive. Thus, it is possible to reduce the payment of the interest rate for obtaining a mortgage at Gazprombank by Gazprom employees to 3–4%.
Further, within the framework of the corporate program, monetary compensation for the down payment is provided. Considering that it is mandatory for all lending programs of Bank GPB (JSC), it will be nice to return up to 50% of the starting fee. Moreover, the possibility of government subsidies for the remaining part of the debt is provided.
This offer is relevant for those who have a second and subsequent children in their family. There are opportunities and directions to pay off the debt. This may be a partial reduction of the principal debt or a complete closure in cases where the amount of capital and the amount of debt allow this.

- differential payments;
- individual conditions in agreement with the bank management.
The epic of moving
In 2006, the ex-governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko agreed with the Chairman of the Board of Gazprom PJSC Alexey Miller to re-register the Sibneft company from Omsk to the Northern capital (later renamed Gazprom Neft). This began the long-term move of Gazprom's divisions from Russian regions and Moscow to St. Petersburg. Over the years, several dozen companies have changed their registration: Gazprom Export, Gazprom Invest, Gazprom Transgaz and others.
During 2013–2017, the energy company’s subsidiaries bought and rented office space in approximately 50 business centers with a total area of over 430 thousand m2. Some companies will move to the Lakhta Center complex, which is under construction; it will first be put into operation in the fall of 2018, the move will begin in 2019. Of the total area of 400 thousand m2, 45% will be used for offices. Gazprom does not say which companies will move into the Lakhta Center. Earlier, the Deputy General Director for Corporate Communications of Gazprom Neft told DP that his company would definitely occupy offices in Lakhta.
Gazprom did not answer DP’s questions about the total number of vacancies. According to a DP source familiar with the situation, in total, about 20 thousand people now work in Gazprom’s St. Petersburg structures. The source did not estimate what share were those who moved from other cities, and what share were those whom the company found on the local labor market.
How do officials want to improve the situation?
A lot of work has been done to make the situation better. From the first day we heard appeals to various trade unions. Negotiations were held here until 2014 regarding an increase in salaries. The work done, as everyone has noticed, is not great. The energy industry really needs attention because complex equipment cannot be used by everyone who wants to. This also includes only qualified employees.
There were also situations when employees simply left their posts. Then the question was posed bluntly. Salaries did increase. Officials nowadays promise energy industry specialists salary increases every six months.
How have salaries changed in recent years?
Energy engineers should be called those people who work in the energy industry. The chief power engineer ensures timely repair of power systems and power equipment, as well as technically correct operation. Employees in this area are required to take part in the development of plans for the long-term development of the energy sector, and also ensure the preparation of applications and the necessary calculations for them for the purchase of energy equipment.
Energy is considered to be that branch of industry in which a set of artificial and natural subsystems is located that serve for the transformation, use and distribution of energy resources of all types. Experts divide energy production into several stages:
- Conversion of primary energy into secondary energy using power plants.
- Transfer of secondary energy to consumers.
- Transfer of resources to energy installations.
Miller's past successes
Thanks to the chairman's numerous successes in the commodity industry market, Miller has received considerable earnings in recent years. Also, before paying taxes, the official is entitled to impressive compensation and rewards from the company. It is worth recalling his past successes:
- After the corporation’s impressive results in 2010 in the oil and gas market, in 2011 Alexey Miller earned about 17.48 million rubles, which were increased by bonuses to 20.64 million rubles. The bonus, according to the data, was due to a 22.5% increase in the net profit of the company itself.
- In May 2013, Miller again received a significant increase to the funds already paid in 2012. It was accrued according to Gazprom in connection with the 20th anniversary of the company itself. Although this additional payment, as stated by official sources, was not comparable to the remuneration that other international oil and gas corporations offer their managers. For 2013, however, the official salary for this period is not known, since the government did not ask for such data to be made public.
- The chairman's profit, announced in 2021, frankly shocked the Cabinet of Ministers. According to a statement by deputy Rashkin, the daily salary received by Alexey Borisovich reached 2.2 million. It is not difficult to calculate that Miller’s monthly income was about 66 million rubles. However, if you believe the interview that Mikhail Leontyev, who is an adviser to the president of Rosneft, later gave to the media, these data turned out to be completely false and were refuted in court.
This is how the official’s income situation looked in recent years. As the corporation's profits grew, its employees also received salary increases. This, naturally, also applies to Alexey Miller.
Historical background: how the Gazprom corporation came into being
The formation of a domestic giant in the extraction and processing of our natural resources (oil and gas) began in 1942. During this period, the first large field was discovered, on which a gas pipeline called “Buguruslan - Kuibyshev” appeared. Successes in exploration and production made it possible to begin actively building new highways (do not forget that it was wartime). Pipelines were being built, specialists were looking for oil and gas deposits. In 1965, by decision of the country's leadership, the Ministry of Gas Industry was created (a platform for the development of the company in the future).
The heyday is considered to be 1970 - then large gas fields were discovered in Siberia, the Volga region and the Urals, which made it possible to immediately increase production rates several times. High growth rates allowed the country and the company to occupy leading global positions by 1984. 6 years later, the state concern Gazprom appeared (an initiative of Viktor Chernomyrdin). In 1996, the company received the name familiar to modern people - OJSC Gazprom.
Basic information about Gazprom
Today, the position of Chairman of the Board is occupied by Alexey Miller - the same one whose salary is several million a day)). The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Viktor Zubkov. Capitalization indicators as of 2021 amount to RUB 3.77 trillion. Here we could rejoice, if not for one thing... The brand ranks only 299th in Russia in terms of profitability and total capitalization.
It is also inferior in global significance to, for example, the Starbucks coffee chain, whose capitalization indicators are 2 times larger. Gazprom securities show instability - there is a fluctuation in value, which does not allow achieving stability. Despite this, revenue for the 3rd quarter of 2021 amounted to RUB 5,698 billion. (data from RBC). At the same time, the figures for 2021 are higher – RUB 8,224 billion.
How much does the company's management earn?
When starting to talk about the income of an organization’s employees, you first need to find out how much the management team receives. Many people are interested in the question of what is the salary of the head of the gas monopolist Alexey Miller and the entire top management of the company. Of course, the earnings here are simply cosmic compared to many other residents of our country.
In total, the company budget includes about 200 million rubles per month to pay salaries to board representatives. Using simple mathematical operations, you can find out that one of the company’s managers receives about 12,000,000 rubles. per month. This amount is approximately 330 times more than the average income of ordinary Russians. Alexey Miller has a similar income. Multiply 12 million by 12 months and you get approximately 144 million rubles per year. Who wouldn't want to earn that much?
However, it should be noted that the salary at Gazprom is far from the only source of income for Alexey Miller. . He is also paid money by subsidiaries of the gas monopolist structure, where he is a member of the Board of Directors
The reliable amount that Miller manages to receive is unknown to anyone except himself and some people close to him.
He is also paid money by subsidiaries of the gas monopolist structure, where he is a member of the Board of Directors. The reliable amount that Miller manages to receive is unknown to anyone except himself and some people close to him.
Of course, an ordinary Russian can only dream of such income. However, you can also earn good money in other positions in the company. How much do employees in “lower” positions earn? We'll talk about this later.
Salary at Gazprom in 2021
So, in 2015, Miller received a remuneration of $27 million, which is equal to approximately 1,620,000,000 rubles per year or 4.5 million rubles per day. According to the company, the total base salary for top managers is $36.9 million.
In total, there are 76 people on the list.
General directors of Gazprom and the twenty largest subsidiaries earn about $500,000 per year, or about 2.5 million rubles per month. Directors of another twenty subsidiaries, deputy heads of the board of directors, advisers to the head of the board, the head of the secretariat of the board of directors and the chairman of the committee responsible for conducting tenders receive another $400,000 thousand per year or 2 million rubles per month. The functions of this profession in Gazprom include not only cleaning of premises, but also many “service” functions, for example, help in the kitchen, as well as more complex issues associated with ordering missing supplies (dishes, napkins, pencils, garbage bags, paper for office).
Basic salary - 7000 rubles.
Linear assortment
Exactly a year ago, Alexey Miller said: “Two-thirds of the Gazprom administration has already moved to St. Petersburg, and soon the entire Gazprom will move here” (quote from Interfax). At the end of December 2017, the media, citing Gazprom employees, wrote that out of 2,200 clerks at the head office of this company on Nametkina Street in Moscow, 1,800 had already moved to St. Petersburg, the rest refused.
Big renovation for Gazprom. The corporation's structures will spend more than 4 billion rubles on furnishing offices.
Major renovation for Gazprom
According to the DP source, among the resettlers are mostly top managers and highly paid specialists who were offered attractive relocation conditions: high salaries, a large social package, and for some, paid rental housing or office apartments purchased for employees.
“The company is not ready to part with such specialists, since they either have competencies that are rare on the market or have extensive experience working in Gazprom structures, which determines their value for the employer. But there is no point in bringing line personnel with you; it is easier and cheaper to find them locally,” explains the source.
Thus, according to the observations of experts in the Northwestern Federal District, most of the current job offers placed by subsidiaries of the Gazprom holding in St. Petersburg relate to the field of information technology, sales, accounting and management accounting, production and consulting. “Almost half of the vacancies are designed for applicants with professional experience from 3 to 6 years. Most vacancies indicate that the salary level and compensation package are discussed with the successful candidate based on the results of the interview; in addition, the company most often offers potential candidates official registration under the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and voluntary health insurance policies,” comments HeadHunter representative in the Northwestern Federal District Irina Zhilnikova .
How much do lawyers earn in Moscow?
One of the largest cities in Russia is Moscow, where salaries differ greatly from regional ones. This is where you have every chance to become a famous lawyer and find a job with a good salary. However, to get a job in a large company in Moscow, you must have at least five years of work experience. It can be obtained by practicing in small firms.
Recently, the heads of large firms have begun to hire lawyers with higher education who have received diplomas from certain universities. Based on this, we can conclude what employers want their new employees to be like:
- work experience must be at least 3 or 5 years (each company has different experience requirements);
- availability of higher education, and it must be obtained only in those universities that the employer “likes”;
- the employee must have a good reputation and excellent skills in certain areas of law;
- knowledge of foreign language.
These requirements apply to almost all companies. How much can you earn as a lawyer in Moscow? The final salary figure depends on the position the specialist occupies.
Job title | Salary (average in Moscow, in rubles) |
Advocate | 250000 |
Assistant lawyer | 45000 |
Lawyer, head of department | 150000 |
Chief assistant to the department head | 60000 |
Deputy legal department | 130000 |
Tax Law Specialist | 95000 |
The final salary depends on the number of cases won. If the case is high-profile, then income can be provided for several months in advance.
Income of workers and lower-level managers
Gazprom is a very rich company, and it does not skimp on salaries for its employees. Indeed, the level of income of citizens employed in the organization is much higher than the national average, regardless of whether they work in the North or in our latitudes. Let's look at the dynamics of salary increases in the company over recent years:
- 2008 – 44,000 rubles;
- 2012 – 95,000 rubles;
- 2015 – 110,000 rubles;
- 2017 – 150,000 rub.
- 2018. — 160,000 rub.
There is no data for 2021 yet, so you will have to be content with information from previous years. It is unlikely that the situation has changed radically in the first months of this year. However, in general, the average income of Gazprom employees is a very relative concept. The average salary does not show who earns a lot and who earns little. This takes into account both top management with their income, as we discussed above, and cleaners or drivers, whose income is relatively low. At the same time, even this statistical indicator helps us understand that the average earnings in the company are at a fairly high level.
Oil workers' salaries
The salary of a Russian oil and gas worker largely depends on the specific profile of his activity, the region in which he works, as well as the financial policy of the organization where he is on staff.
For example, the average salary of employees per month was 355 thousand rubles, employees of Lukoil - 161 thousand rubles, Rosneft - 141 thousand rubles, and in Surgutneftegaz "only" 60-70 thousand rubles.
However, the astronomical salaries of top managers have a significant impact on the overall high level of average salaries for these enterprises.
In other, smaller organizations, representatives of professions related to oil and gas production receive an order of magnitude less than in the above-mentioned leaders.
The price of oil itself is also important for enterprises. You can find detailed forecasts of its cost from experts here.
The average salary for an oil worker in Russia, taking into account the salaries of all positions in the industry and companies, is about 150 thousand rubles per month.
Salaries of oil workers by individual specializations
Now let's look at how much workers in the oil and gas industry in Russia earn per month, broken down by specific specializations.
Name of profession | Salary per month, thousand rubles. |
Member of the board of directors of an oil company | 1170,0 |
Drilling Director | 600,0 |
Director of Geology | 600,0 |
Drilling Engineer | 115,0 |
Directional Drilling Engineer | 100,0 |
Ceramist | 86,7 |
Logger | 86,7 |
Geologist | 81,7 |
Drilling rig operator | 67,5 |
Bomber | 65,0 |
Chief surveyor | 62,3 |
Submachine gunner | 60,0 |
Chief technologist | 59,2 |
Dewatering and desalting plant operator | 58,4 |
Geophysicist | 55,8 |
Well driller | 45,8 |
Thus, it is clear that managers, namely members of the boards of directors of large companies, earn the most per month among oil industry workers in Russia. Directors of geology and drilling earn almost twice as much.
Among specialists, an oil and gas well drilling engineer earns the most. A directional drilling engineer earns somewhat less. Next in terms of salary are ceramists and logging workers.
A well driller earns the least - 45.8 thousand rubles per month. But even this amount significantly exceeds the average level of earnings of the population in Russia.
So we can say that the oil and gas industry has one of the highest wages in the country and is second only to employees in the banking sector.
It should also be taken into account that specialists from leading Russian companies, Lukoil, Rosneft, earn significantly more than representatives of similar professions in the industry as a whole.
But the earnings of the staff of various subsidiaries are significantly less. This causes a fairly large dispersion in salary levels between similar specialties at different enterprises.
Who can apply for a corporate mortgage from Gazprombank
In order to be able to submit an application for consideration for the provision of preferential benefits
conditions, you need to work in the corporation for at least 6 months. This is provided that the current Gazprom employee already has a certain amount of work experience.
It should be noted that, unfortunately, not everyone will be approved for such an application. In addition to the standard package of documents, it will be necessary to provide some certificates confirming the condition of the existing housing and the level of security. Priority for mortgages is given to those employees whose living conditions do not meet social standards. Including those living in houses whose condition is recognized as emergency.
The decision to approve the application is made by the social development department of OJSC Gazprom. He studies the composition of the family, which obliges the client to provide relevant certificates, the state of existing living conditions, and checks the submitted data. Based on the collection and analysis of information, a decision is made.
If the living conditions of a client applying for mortgage benefits are considered satisfactory, then most likely there will be a negative response to the application. However, in this case, it remains possible to obtain a targeted loan on general terms. Gazprombank has a wide selection of loan products in its arsenal. A special calculator allows you to accurately calculate the amount of monthly payments.
You can also reapply at a later date. Perhaps the decision of the social development department was influenced by the presence of a large queue of applicants. Therefore, in the future, when the company’s assets become more free, it is quite possible to try again to get a preferential mortgage.
How to get a job at Gazprom
Considering the salary levels in Gazprom, many people want to get a job in this company. However, the high interest of applicants in such vacancies allows the employer to be extremely careful in choosing future employees, setting fairly stringent employment requirements.
The competition for one job in Gazprom can exceed 200 and even 1000 people for particularly important and highly paid vacancies for the company. But for middle-level blue-collar jobs and administrative work, the competition is still not that great, although it is sufficient.
If you want to get a job at Gazprom, first of all you need to ask about possible vacancies from your friends and loved ones who work in this company. As in most cases, the employer, represented by an individual department head, will prefer to independently find a specialist than to publish a vacancy through the company’s main website, going through a long wait through a chain of bureaucratic procedures.
In addition, it would be a good idea to familiarize yourself with the official vacancies posted on the Gazprom website. Also, an active search can bear fruit - you can simply send your resume to the mailboxes of various Gazprom divisions.
Gazprom is a very large company, with many different divisions and subsidiaries. Therefore, a refusal to hire a person in one of the departments does not mean at all that the same answer will be provided in another department and in another region.
Work in the North
As a rule, this is work on a rotational basis, and it is associated with difficult working conditions, therefore, in addition to the regional coefficients, “polar” allowances are added to the salary. These additional payments are not accrued immediately and not to everyone. Thus, a new arrival will receive only a regional coefficient of 70% in addition to the basic salary, and for each month worked 10% of the “polar” allowances, that is, after 6 months - 60%.
Newcomers will receive less than similar specialists with experience. Salaries at Gazprom in the North range from 87,000 to 188,000 rubles.
What to expect for energy workers in 2021
When back in 2012 the situation with the salaries of power engineers became critical, the problem had to be solved quite quickly. After all, no structure without qualifications and valuable personnel is able to work conscientiously. So in 2021 they want to increase salaries by several percent. Some are even saying that the increase will be 11 percent.
But if we compare the readings with 2012, the increase level will be equal to 20 percent. Of course, the indicators seem positive when viewed in comparison. Only the authorities forgot that life was easier in those days. In simple terms, employee dissatisfaction will go away when they see a decent percentage increase in their pockets.
From the bank to Gazprom
The specialists that Gazprom is currently looking for in St. Petersburg are not required to have unique competencies. Numerous office clerks who are left without work can apply for these vacancies, notes the head of the Smolny Committee for Labor and Employment, Dmitry Cherneiko. He recalled that a significant number of bank offices have been closed recently.
According to the Banki.ru portal, in 2021, seven St. Petersburg banks were liquidated and lost their licenses, and three more in 2017. For example, BFA Bank joined Vladimir Kogan’s Uralsib, losing two-thirds of its employees (about 120 people). In 2016–2017, all St. Petersburg offices of the Baltic Bank, which was transferred to Alfa Bank for reorganization, were closed. As a result, over 2 years, about 2 thousand employees were left without work. Baltinvestbank joined Absolut Bank, losing 30% of its clerks (about 350 people). Constance Bank lost its license and closed all offices in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, and about 400 of its clerks went in search of work.
Employees of other companies that failed to cope with the economic crisis also lost their jobs. For example, due to the problems that arose with the online retailer Yulmart (the largest co-owners are Dmitry Kostygin (last year he took 46th place in the DP Billionaire Rating, the value of his assets was estimated at 25 billion rubles) and), former employees of this company also joined the labor market of St. Petersburg. According to DP, several hundred Yulmart employees were laid off in St. Petersburg.
Because of these upheavals, many office workers - programmers, engineers, accountants, personnel officers and representatives of other specialties - found themselves in the labor market. “200–500 office employees are being laid off in St. Petersburg per month. And some of them could go to Gazprom,” says Dmitry Cherneiko. However, Gazprom will not revolutionize the St. Petersburg labor market, he claims. “Every year approximately 0.5 million vacancies are opened and closed in St. Petersburg. Up to 160 thousand messages about new jobs go through the state employment service,” says Cherneiko. However, such a large-scale entry of vacancies into the St. Petersburg market will certainly soften the difficult situation that has arisen due to the closure of several large companies and banks.
How much do representatives of various professions earn at Gazprom?
It is clear that the highest salary level is for members of the board of PJSC Gazprom. In total, this collegial body consists of 17 people. At the same time, only information on total income is published in the reports, which allows certain conclusions to be drawn. The rest can be learned from information leaked to the press. However, they are not always complete. For example, it is known that the annual income of Chairman of the Board Alexey Miller has exceeded 700 million rubles in the last few years, but the declarations indicate that he also receives income from other sources not related to Gazprom (at least officially).
On average, if we take information for 2017-2018, the total income of all members of the board is 3.3-3.5 billion rubles, and this is even in the face of declining profits. At the same time, each board member accounts for more than 190 million rubles in income. And of this amount, only about 50% comes directly from wages. Everything else is awards and bonuses. Although a similar scheme is used to calculate the salaries of ordinary employees, the amounts there will be fundamentally different.
The head of a service (or department) in regional offices receives 128-130 thousand rubles. But the heads of departments of the central office in Moscow, according to information leaked to the press, receive 500-600 thousand rubles monthly.
If we consider representatives of technical specialties, then the highest salary is for a leading engineer (almost 99 thousand rubles). An engineer of the 1st category receives significantly less - 70 thousand rubles. An electronics engineer and programmer in most regions receive less - about 40 thousand rubles, if we are talking about ordinary specialists, but in Moscow their salaries will be much higher.
As for representatives of blue-collar professions, the highest salary is for an electric and gas welder - it averages 68 thousand rubles. At the same time, for pipeline workers and gas distribution stations operators it is 58-60 thousand rubles (on average for all regions). A TC driver earns about 66 thousand rubles per month.
Cleaners receive the minimum salary in Gazprom - on average about 20 thousand rubles in most regions. Storekeepers also earn little - only 30 thousand rubles on average. The driver receives 25-50 thousand rubles in most regions, except the North, where increasing coefficients apply. The salary of a secretary-assistant in most regions is 35-40 thousand rubles. Accounting and HR department employees receive approximately 40-60 thousand rubles (depending on the region).
Other professions: How much do investigators from different departments earn?
It is interesting that the salaries of working personnel are indexed more often than the incomes of central office employees. In particular, in 2019 they were increased by 15% compared to 2021 in order to cover the amount of real inflation.
