After the final termination of the employment contract, the employer is obliged to promptly inform the labor and public security authorities about this, return the certificate of the foreign citizen and his documents giving the right to reside in the PRC, and also register with the public security authority the departure of this person abroad.

In the event of a foreign citizen’s refusal to carry out a certificate check, an unauthorized change of employer, an unauthorized change in the type of activity, an unauthorized extension of the period of employment, the administrative management body in the field of labor will confiscate (cancel) the certificate of this foreign citizen, and also send a proposal to the public security body to cancel the documents , giving the right to reside to a foreign citizen in the territory of the PRC.
